The statement was made on a friday. Tomorrow is a future tense, yesterday is a past tense. If tomorrow- a kind of thing likely to happen today is a present tense. have been-likely to be past perfect continous tense., therefore...... "if tomorrow was yesterday, today could have been sunday" that statement was made on a friday. Today could have been sunday means it didnt happen. If tomorrow was yesterday, sunday showed it was backward meaning its saturday. Now "if" is an assumption showing it never happened . So its friday.
