Hey guys is it just me kor is it true that the presidental term in office has been increased and so too has the government's stay in office? what are your opinions on that and what do you guys fel about the new change in policy?

There are proposals to change the rules on term limits so that instead of an official being allowed up to two terms of four years each, he/she will only be allowed a single six year term.

I think this is a good idea, because it will mean that officials won't be distracted with campaigning for re-election. Also, they won't have to do the will the 'big men' who put them in power, because they won't have to worry about the 'big men' removing their support for the next election.

Is a nice idea if adopted,

i don't feel it is necessary for the duration to be increased. tampering with the constitution now makes it easier for future leaders to also tamper with the constitution for estended stay

Its a bad idea. It takes away choice from the people. What if you've got an excellent president like a Bill Clinton and you want him back? The people will never have the choice to bring him back

And also if you have a bad president like , you just have to put up with him for 6 yrs
