The loss of ROONEY n RONALDO is beginning to take its toll.
Creative, Good passes and Countless shots on goal but no goals.
46 goals taken out in Wazza and Cristiano . . . . . .New boys are still trying to FIT in.

United will come good. Its a matter of time.
The team will WIN matches when all the players get back into the team.
OWEN is immense . . . . .NANI is promising and TEVEZ . . . . . . . . Devastating.

If Chelsea wins . . . . . .It becomes 7 points difference and its still not FULL BLOWN CRISIS.
There are many more matches ahead and every team would still lose games.
United only needs to start picking points before it becomes irrevocable.

United fans, I still believe there is no cause for alarm. Its a bad start no doubt but the league is still on course. United drew close to 6 games and lost 4 last season but we still ended up winning. Why this is so glaring is because its coming at the beginning of the season. United can move from this loss and start a winning streak. . . Which I definately forsee.

We are about 19th on the table now. No problems. We'll bounce back. I know that for sure.

We've not been playing bad. Jus been unlucky.

PROUDLY UNITED!!!

Torres just stunned Chelsea.
What a GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As long as Chelsea dont pick 3 points today . . . . . . . There's no crisis.

Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 5:02pm On Aug 19, 2007
@ J-K,

United's attack need a centre-forward.
Tevez is not an out n out striker . . . . . . He plays off a main striker and he's more devastating outside the box than inside.
Rooney and Tevez might work cos Rooney can play as a main striker but if one of em gets injured/suspended . . .We are DOOMED.
SAHA and SOLSKJAER should be counted as 1 as the combination of em 2 will only play 30 league games.
Its time for Man Utd to land a natural centre-forward.
Bad enough we have lost WAZZA and RONALDO(46 goals) . . . . . .To play without a centre-forward will drop points off Man Utd.

ARSENAL has been stopped by Blackburn, Lets hope CHELSKI drops 3 points as well.
Its squeaky bum time now for the CHAMPIONS.
FERGUSON and his goons need to start picking points.
United will bounce back . . . . .Its only a matter of time.

Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by jejelolatu(f): 5:58pm On Aug 19, 2007

@ I-man,

I wonder.
I seriously wonder.
There are still many HEAD TO HEAD games which will rob points off BIG TEAMS.
The title race is FAR FROM over and every team stands a chance.
Jose's CHELSEA don't even look like title challengers with the way they were battered today.
From the look of things . . . . . .LIVERPOOL and ARSENAL looked more hungrier than CHELSEA.
United, from what we see, is missing their BIG PLAYERS.
Man United boys will start scoring once the BIG BOYS  return from their INJURY.

@ Jejesticx,

Don't RATTLE my cage o.
U have been a good gurl in the last 2 weeks. cheesy cheesy cheesy
Stay true and remain KOOOOL.
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Iman3(m): 6:09pm On Aug 19, 2007
Our fundamental problem is goal scoring.I still think we will get that right sooner rather than later. There have been seasons were Utd were downright awful-defence was hopeless, midfield was non-existent and attack was toothless.

So far,the sole problem has been the attack.I know that Utd has never really had a season long problem with attack.Hence.I'm confident we will remedy that very soon.

A 5 point gap is hardly insourmountable. The performances of Chelsea,Arsenal and Liverpool have been hardly exciting-contrast with the barnstorming start we had last season. Our rivals have only been managing narrow single goal victories-largely thanks to generous refereeing decisions.

When we look beyond the surface-we see a 5 points gap with 35 games to play and 2 of our key players yet to return.Count in the African Cup of Nations which will deprive many of our rivals of key players and you will understand why my optimism hasn't waned a jot.

Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 6:21pm On Aug 19, 2007
@ I-man,

You are a DIAMOND GEEZER.
United failed to win their last 3 matches because of ill-luck and lack of a natural goal scorer.
We couldn't put the BALL IN THE NET but every other aspects of the game has been top-notch.
In Owen Hargreaves we have a DESTROYER . . . . .he has proven why there was so much hype about HIM.

You will soon be mugged by reality.Concentrate on the narrow 1 point gap between you and Spurs grin grin If you are honest with yourself, you wil acknowledge that your 2 performances in the league-against Fulham and Blackburn-hardly inspire confidence.

This is going to be one of those funny seasons were a lot of people's hopes have been raised for nothing grin grin

Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 6:33pm On Aug 19, 2007
@ A-40,

Its looking BLEAK for everyone that failed to get 3 points today.
United is missing their BIG GUNS.
4 GOAL-getters are out injured/suspended.
ANY team in the world would miss RONALDO, ROONEY, SAHA and SOLSKJAER(who comes on from the bench to SCORE GOALS).
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by dinozzo(m): 6:34pm On Aug 19, 2007
Owen had a very good game from what I saw he manned the midfield and gave Scholes and Carrick the freedom to move. Something Scholes in particular has been lacking for a while. But the major problem in the game was definitely goal scoring. There was really no one in that box the attackers today preferred to go wide so when crosses were thrown in there was no one available. Pity, even saha would've been enough in this game.
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by dapsycool(m): 6:36pm On Aug 19, 2007
Man divided fans u all gat problem, Now u've spent money and nothing to show for it, Owen, nani, anderson, vetez. Why were they bought if u can't do without ronaldo and rooney. You all should shut up and go to bed, you have nothing to prove, no league title for ya, remember what happened to Liverpool last year. Thats your only trophy u won weeks back.
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by A40(m): 6:37pm On Aug 19, 2007
@Jackal
Please send Solksjaer back to norway he has won all he needs to win.My advice is for you guys to get a striker before transfer window closes.Period.Tevez is no striker as you saw today.Micah Richards had him in his pocket how much more when he faces even better defenders.

Hargreaves was good though
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by mukina2: 6:38pm On Aug 19, 2007

Man city  grin

next is spurs grin and they wil deal with scummies again grin

Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 6:39pm On Aug 19, 2007
@ Dinozzo,

What do u think will happen when SAHA, ROONEY and RONALDO gets back into the team?
Blimey!!!!!!!!!! This TRIO scored 60 goals between themselves LAST SEASON.
The trio are the goal factories of MAN UTD and FERGIE needs to get em back ASAP.

@ Dapsycool,

You are a soccer-illiterate from the way u spewed.
NANI and ANDERSON were bought to understudy SCHOLES and GIGGS.
They are not matured yet to start games . . . .Just like WALCOTT wasn't matured last season to deputise for HENRY and RVP.
TEVEZ was brought in to SUPPORT Rooney or SAHA as a support striker and NOT as a centre-forward to do it himself.

@ A-40,

Tevez as an arrow-head? He wasn't bought to play in that role.
Apache does damage outside the box . . . . Drops deep and play off a natural striker.
Circumstances forced Ferguson to play him in that role.
Look at United's bench today and compare to the other BIG 3 then u will admit United is skint.
Eagles, Campbell and O'Shea on the bench?
Chelsea had PIZARRO, JOE COLE etc Liverpool had CROUCH, BABEL and MASCHERANO.
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by A40(m): 6:42pm On Aug 19, 2007
Saha and Solskjaer are too injury prone to make an impact.C.Ronaldo will have it difficult replicating his form of last season. Its the bitter truth
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by jejelolatu(f): 6:43pm On Aug 19, 2007
i dnt know why u are all yabbing the players, the boys played well its just tht they dnt know how to do the most important thingi-scoring grin
i blame fergie more thou, its that all his got up his sleeves, i neva imagined that after two draws he wouldnt have come up with a killer strategy that would sink city and boost the deflated egos of their fans
anyways, ur loss is our gain. so abeg keep this losses up.

am sure now every team believes that they can beat womanU or hold them to a draw.

so much for the expensive transfers. tongue tongue tongue
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by mukina2: 6:46pm On Aug 19, 2007
Jeje grin

expensive signings indeeded grin
more losses for them grin
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 6:46pm On Aug 19, 2007
@ A-40,

Ronaldo will be a HIT this season.
if we had him today, we would have won cos he seems the kinda guy that makes things happen.
He would win free-kicks and create chances upon chances.
The earlier we get him back the better.

Saha and Ole?
They should be counted as 1 player.
Too injury-prone but deadly when FIT.
The jury is out on OLE but SAHA? He should be sold.
