Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Hannibal: 9:41pm On Jul 27, 2008
I expect Rodrigo Possebon and Danny Welbeck to break into the 1st team next season.

The game against the Chiefs some days ago showed Possebon is ready for top flight football.
What a player!!!!!

All Hail The Kings Of Europe (infact not the world). We will always conquer. This coming season is for us all again. They - Arsenal, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Barca, Liverpool, can all gang up, but to no avail.

About Ronaldo, well I believe Sir Alex is building a new team without him. We have really succeeded in our pre-season in Africa with the following matches:
1. Aberdeen: 2-0 win (Scotland)
2. Kaizer Chiefs: 1-1 draw (South Africa)
3. Orlando Pirates: 1-0 win (South Africa)
4. Kaizer Chiefs: 4-0 win (South Africa) to win the Vodacom Challenge
5. Portsmouth: 2-1 win ( Abuja)

We will continue pre-season at Old Trafford ( burial ground were we bury all other teams ) with the following matches:
6. Espanyol (Spain)- 2nd Aug. 08, 3pm
7. [img][/img]Peterborough (England) 4th Aug. 08, 7.45pm
8. Juventus (Italy) 6th Aug. 08, 8pm

Above all we play the best football, have the best players, have the best pitch, best jersey, best manager, best coaches, best, , best, , best, best, best. Infact The Best Team In The World.

Saw a few clips.I admire the way yall defended though and i also saw Tevez's scorcher with that being said i think Pompey shouldnt have sold Muntari and Crouch was a mess yesterday as well and Pompey's worst defender was Linvoy Primate.I cant wait for the season to start

Tevez was just paying back the faith David Gill/SAF placed in him.
In the next couple of months. . . . United would be signing him in a British record of 32 million odd pounds. . . . . shocked shocked shocked
It seems Fergie is on some big drug money shyte. . . . . .

Go APACHE go APACHE go!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Apache indeed
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Hannibal: 7:06pm On Jul 28, 2008
Look at this PRAT. . . . .
The same Tevez that disgraced Harry Redknapp in Abuja last night.
He scored the most important goals for United last season. . . . . .His goal against Liverpool at Anfield won us the league.
Someone told me this. . . . .to win the PREM. . . . U have to beat Liverpool at Anfield.
As soon as Chelsea n Arsenal failed to beat em last season. . . . .I knew United would win the league and they DID.
Thanx to Tevez. . . . .32 milla in a 4-year deal?? PRICELESS!!!!!

Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by doyin13(m): 8:51pm On Jul 28, 2008

Thank u very much. . . . .Tevez was a fantastic buy.
19 goals in his 1st season at GOLD TRAFFORD. . . . .Not many peops coulda achieved that as a second striker.
He kept at it and it paid dividends.

Apache cannot be a one hit wonder. . . . . This is why i doubt ur knowledge of South American football.
Tevez was the best player in that continent for 3 years.

Are u aware Robinho and many South American players were still in that continent as at 2003??

Hmm. . . .

It has always surprised me, the whole thing about Carlitos in South America.

I remember at Corinthians, when Carlos Alberto and some other chap that later ended up at Lyon used
to outplay him, he still got all the shine. That Kia dude orchestrated one publicity hullabaloo.

Santos with Robinho also put some ass whipping on the Corinthians team with Tevez.

So how did Tevez end up being the most expensive player in the whole continent?? Hype??
How did he also win the best player in the Brazilian league as an Argy??
Something that never happened for many decades. . . . .Brazilians n Argies don't dig themselves so do the math.
Apache was a class act in South America. . . . .I don't even think he can play up to that level again.
Did u see him in 2004 at the olympics?? grin cheesy
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by DrKitaun(m): 12:38am On Jul 29, 2008
Tevez was fantastic at the Olympics 2004 but definitely NO ONE GAVE/GIVES A F@CK WHO THE SOUTH AMERICAN PLAYER OF THE YEAR IS !!!

Tevez is more of hype than substance tongue

U dunno ur football then if u think Apache is all hype with NO SUBSTANCE.
Tell me the equivalent of any European club competition that Apache hasn't won in his career. . . and he is just 24.
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by nyabinghi(m): 9:37am On Jul 29, 2008
Anyone that doubts the Apache lacks a true knowledge of footie. Apache has won nearly all the winnables in world soccer. He was top scorer in Athens with 10 goals, was the record buy in south american football history(for players based in South Ame.), saved westham from extinction, won double with united in his first season.

@ Mancs

What do you guys think bout this team.

                                                                    VDS/BF/TK

 Neville/wes                                                 Vidic & Rio                                                  Silvestre/Evra

                                                                 Hargo/Carrick

Ronaldo/park                                             Anderson/scholes                                Nani/Giggs

                                                                       Tevez/Rooney

                                                                      Manucho/Berba(if it falls thru)

O'shea
Eagles
Fletcher
Saha
Simpson

Looks as if we dont have direct replacements for our CB, but adjustments can be made drafting hargo, O'shea, silvestre and wes into the defence to accommodate any sort of injuries. we seem to have at least 2players for every position and for me thats a good thing going into this campaign.

What u guys think?
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by dayokanu(m): 10:04am On Jul 29, 2008
I think that SOuth American footballer of the year thing shouldnt be mentioned

Do you know Salvador Cabanas is the current player of the year taking over from Matias Fernandes. An award Messi can never win. An award Ronaldo Lima, Dinho,

Rivaldo and Roberto Carlos never won
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by tkb417(m): 10:37am On Jul 29, 2008
@Coded
good one!!

before the pre-season started, i actually tot we were gonna go for 2 players. A player who can play double as a RB and a LB. a player in the mould of  Dani Alves who can play as a RB and also cover up for Evra in case of Injuries. and also get a striker.

But as it is, we'll make do with gary/brown at the RB and Evra/mikel on the LB

Upfront; with the addition of a fully fit manucho and hopefully Berba/Hunter coming in,our strong points this season will stil lie in our attack. Rooney, Tevez, CR7 and Berba(hopefully) will rubbish any defence in europe.

our midfield is packed!!! no problems or whatsoever in that area of the team . Did you guys see the 'rejuvenated scholesy'? hes back to playing his blinders!!
i cant wait for the season to start.

PS
i tot Levy was on air saying neither berba nor Keane would leave the white hart lane; im schocked to see the same Levy collecting 20 milla for the dude. Hes just a silly bigot. i think SAF should sell Saha quickly and table a 'friendly' bid for Berba
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by codedguy1(m): 10:57am On Jul 29, 2008
@tkb,

Its practically the team that prosecuted the quest for the double we won last season. I just wanted to emphasis that we are fully packed and our second team can challenge for trophies in the Prem if given the chance, thats how strong a team Fergie has managed to build.

The very interesting thing is there are players that can play multiple roles in the team, which for me is a very big plus.

Did not see the game with pompey, but If scholesy is hitting form again, he mite again Delay Anderson from making that midfield his. i sooooooooo believe in that Anderson guy to deliver when called upon.

Leave Levy alone, He will buckle when the time comes. I did not think they would allow Keane go but, alas.
