Obviously you are a baby (mummy's pet) and out of touch with reality. So when real Nigerians suffering the folly of our leadership are talking, just listen. Again, surviving in Oyibo land requires a lot of self esteem. A lot many people have inferiority complex in the presence of oyibo. REMINDER: My bad for saying this again and again, this thread is not about Naija better than britain, but that even thought it is britain, it can be full of shaite or is that not possible?

Those trying to post us ugly pictures of naija, spare yourself the time and stress. We don see tire. I can even supply a thread about that on NL.

That pafun or whoever was denied visa is irrelevant to the topic. Stop crying, cursing and defending what is not defendable. That there are dirts and rubbish on the streets of your adopted country should not hurt you (REALITY CHECK). What you need to do is to carry broom and sweep. After that, snap the clean area and post. Maybe that will make you feel better?

what self esteem if you r not given the opportunity in the first place on account of your colour, country of origin?
yes they give 1 in maybe 10 or more ethnic minority jobs who are twice better than their white counterparts, and if you really believe that there isnt racism in jobs then you v been burying your head in the sand for way too long, what grammar are you speaking?hope you realise that no matter how long you have stayed in the uk if you arrived here anytime after 15 years old or even less your first word ll give you away as nigerian.

you tell me where you know in uk then ill tell you about the place, moreover if you r in the habit of patrolling the uk,im not unless its necessary cause i have better things to do with my time, seems you r taking it personal that im staying in my flat n eating cause you v mentioned it like multiple times now, men chill out you dont know me so stay off my life,
here you go again with your flawed statistics, who told you nigerian graduates cant get jobs because of foreigners?seems you have not been back in nigeria in like years??students who finished abroad are looking for and getting jobs in nigeria now talk less of nigerian graduates in nigeria, how many companies have expatriates there if not few oil companies and they are specialised jobs/contracts, a white man or expatriates will not risk kidnapping for ransome in the oil regions,so get your facts right!
the only thing i can deduce from your comments is that you have prolly not been to nigeria in several years so you dont know the phenomenal changes thats goig on, you better keep in touch, because an average nigeria earning 100,000 per month will have a better quality of life than you earning 2,500 pounds after tax

Apologies lucabrasi if i took this a bit personal. Got carried away by some elements disrespecting Nigerians working hard abroad. I think its extremely wrong for anyone to insult people based on their source of income no matter how menial it is. Every honest work deserves respect. Everyones choice of location, be it naija or yankee, has to be respected. It is their choice. Fingers are not equal.

This same "gutter cleaners" and "bum washers" generate a lot of foreign exchange for Nigeria. These same "bum cleaners" feed their family from what they do. Let us allow them peace. Face your million naira work back home and let them face their own in UK. It will only swell the unemployment market if we succeed in forcing everyone home. One person even went on to say coming home will be a bad idea just after dissing them for what they do. If you feel pained for what they do, offer them an alternative job in naija or shut your trap.

you r not getting the poster's aims,it is not about making fun of diasprans in uk its about highlighting the negatives in the united kingdom, the fact of the matter is that even you in uk your ultimate aim is to make enough money and go back to nigeria not stay here till eternity unlike some "white nigerians" here like elosela, nobody here will stand there and cast any aspersion on hard working nigerian diasporans in the uk,after all there is no pictures or refference to nigerians in uk, look at the many pictures, its about white people in britain and their negatives considering they are quick to point out other countrie's negatives

While I do not support irate behaviours I can at least half understand why some Nigerians may have a special hatred for citizens of some countries . If you have ever been singled out for "special treatment " at airports abroad just because of your Nigerian passport I think that it will not be too difficult to develop hatred very easily . I have heard terrible stories from several people including religious ministers and I have personally sworn that if it ever happens to me it will be last time I will venture out of Naija angry

the sad thing is that we are more willing to believe what oyinbo says about us rather than what we know about about us and as someone said nigerians abroad put a lot of energy into the sort of jobs that they would never think of doing at home . if they put the same energy into doing same kind of jobs at home and less energy into dissing their country we will have a glorious country

http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/business/industry_sectors/telecoms/article5144780.ece

BT today revealed plans to cut 10,000 jobs by the end of the year after pre-tax profits slumped by 11 per cent in the first six months of the year.

Today's surprise cut by the former state-owned telecoms operator means almost 15,000 British jobs have been lost within the past three days, after Virgin Media, Yell and GlaxoSmithKline took the axe to staff.

Yesterday, it emerged that British unemployment hit an 11-year high of 1.82 million during the three months to September and is forecast to peak at 3.3 million by 2011.

Mervyn King, the Governor of the Bank of England, finally acknowledged this week that the UK was heading for a full-blown recession, and signalled further interest rate cuts on top of the 1.5 per cent reduction last Thursday.

Soon everybody in UK will have no job and will be receiving owobaba grin grin
But how will they fund owobaba when there are no more useful immigrants (not cleaners) that they can tax to death ? I wonder o ;system meltdown coming . The party is over , the last Nigerian there please don't forget to turn off the lights when you are leaving undecided undecided

I am not a prophetess of doom , merely stating the obvious with my eyes wide open (shine your eyez well) and have i not been proved right within a few days ? Next time when I speak listen to me and don't think because I say bad things about UK it is because I hate the place or they didn't give me visa, who wants visa to stay inside sinking ship anyway ?

Britain is now cocaine capital of EuropeBy STEVE DOUGHTY
Last updated at 08:22 27 June 2007

Comments (22) Add to My Stories Cocaine user. Posed by model
Britain is now the cocaine capital of Europe with soaring numbers of young people taking the drug, a United Nations report has revealed.
It revealed more than 900,000 Britons buy cocaine, which means the country has overtaken Spain as the biggest user in the continent.
In addition, Britain's 350,000 heroin users are the largest number in any country in Europe.
The annual survey from the UN's Office on Drugs and Crime said that across most of the world drug abuse is holding steady or is in decline because of successful law and order campaigns to prevent their distribution, sale and consumption.
But the falling tide in many countries is leaving Britain exposed as a thriving drugs market where millions remain addicted to or repeat users of illegal substances.
The report found cocaine use had gone up in Britain and added: "In absolute numbers estimates suggest that the UK's cocaine market, some 910,000 people, is even marginally larger than the market in Spain, some 890,000 people."
It added "cocaine is now the second most widely used illegal drug in the UK after cannabis".
But it noted that cannabis use in this country had diminished since the reclassification of the drug - from Class B to less serious Class C - in 2004.
The change made it rare for police to arrest anyone for possessing the drug.
The UN said the fall was "probably because extensive discussion about rescheduling cannabis brought new scientific findings on the potential harm of cannabis into the limelight". "Growing awareness of the dangers of cannabis use among young people went in parallel with declining cannabis use," it added.
The growth in cocaine use came alongside evidence that the drug is now available more cheaply than ever before. Drugscope said after a survey last year that prices have dropped to £44 a gram, nearly a third down on £65 a gram in 2000.
Tory home affairs spokesman David Davis said: "This is yet more evidence that Labour continues to fail on drugs."
But Home Office minister Vernon Coaker claimed success in cutting drug abuse.
He said: "I welcome the report which shows that tough enforcement is having an effect on cutting drug use.
"We have achieved a great deal through our strategy of enforcement, early intervention, education and treatment: in England and Wales drug use has fallen by 16 per cent since 1998 while drug-related crime and the harm caused by illegal drugs have fallen."
