evening guys.pls my younger sis got an agg of 53,nd she applied 4 law.wat re d chances of her being admitted?i heard dat last yr dose dat applied 4 law nd scored btw 52/58 were given elds;pls wats elds re wat re her chances of getting law |

Itz a form of preferential treatment aspirants from ELDS enjoy in which the cut-off mark used in offering them admission is lesser than that of students from Educationally Developed States... Examples of ELDS are; Bauchi, Borno, Yobe, Kogi, Gombe, Zamfara et al Examples of EDS are; Delta, Lagos, Edo, Ogun etc For example... Delta; * Delta State University, Abraka; Oleh, Asaba * Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun * Petroleum Training Institute, Warri * Novena University, Ogume * College of Education, Agbor * College of Education, Warri * Western Delta University, Oghara * Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro * Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe * Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi the list is endless... But States lyk Yobe has less than 3 recognized higher institutions, which makes it an ELDS Note: This is practised, mostly by Federal Universities |

Each LGA, its own quota of candidates dat wud be offered admission into d University... Itz similar to the Catchment thingy in federal skuls. Note: d 1st Batch is strictly on Merit...irrespective of ur LGA, State of Origin, Nationality, Continent, Planet etc... 1 Like |
