According to poll pundits, Ayo Fayose of the Peoples Democratic Party won the 21 June Ekiti election because he was a man of the people; a populist who panders to the wishes of the people. He rides on bikes, he drinks the local wine with them, plays ‘ayo’, and so on with them. Pundits claimed he was not aloof like Kayode Fayemi, the man he defeated. In nearby Osun State, Iyiola Omisore, a senator, who also wants to sweep away the APC governor, Rauf Aregbesola, has been copying some of Fayose’s acts, like riding on bikes. Over to you Osun state voters: the verdict is yours whether Omisore is real on is merely embarked on electioneering tricks or gimmicry?

A chamelon can not change its skin. If Omisore like let him copy Fayose 1million times he cannot be like Fayose. Whatever Fayose did was not done bc of ds election he has always been like that. Let not Omisore think his pretense will automatic make Osun pple change their perception of him. Whatever worked for Fayose was what the Ekiti pple saw in him for a period of more than 10years. 3 Likes |

It will be an uphill task for Omisore to win Aregbesola. In this instance; Omisore is Fayemi while Aregbesola is Fayose.  Fayose's win is a win for democracy. It is the first election in Nigeria where people rejected a leader in totality; typical Naija style. If Aregbesola looses his re-election, APC will die. He is the most political- minded APC Governor and head of their Jihad arm.  1 Like |

It is really painful that PDP is still the best fit for the mentality of most Nigerian voters. I wont be surprised if he is called a grassroot politician and a man of the people for riding on a bike. I hope we will get there one day, |

20pounds: It will be an uphill task for Omisore to win Aregbesola. In this instance; Omisore is Fayemi while Aregbesola is Fayose. For what he did to the missionary schools, CAN will vote against him! Vote for the PDP guy might not be a "love" vote him to him and the PDP but it will be a "protest" vote against the incumbent. PDP is likely to win! |
