Pls you guy should try and be name tagging the pictures. At least for the lesser-known guys and the new guys in the team. Pls nobody should tag Awoniyi, aside that he is quite famous, safarigirl has already done enough showcasing for him and am sure she is not done yet.

If he plays full match today I don't think he will play tomorow again
Then what's the essence of holding him back or exhausting him for just a ceremonial match To keep his fitness I guess?

Hahahahahahaha... I cant help it anymore. I just gotta say it... Your love for Awoniyi must be something really special. WOW! There's no day I come to this thread through Google (yep... been doing this since last year before I joined Nairaland couple of mins ago) to read the latest Joseph1013 posts on The "Super" Flying Eagles that won't have a certain highly knowlegeable and intelligently funny female soccer pundit called 'Safari girl' declaring how much she adores this wonder of a player with high intellect called Taiwo Awoniyi. I hope you get to meet him some day... It's only befitting that he gets to meet face to face with "his greatest and most passionate fan" (even if you aren't at least I'm yet to see or hear of anyone with high regards for Awoniyi) :-)
I really must commend Joseph 1013 for this thread and the other ones focused on the Golden Eaglets and The Dream Team Eagles. Thumbs up Sir.
High Respects to The likes of Tbaba1234, Daninya11, TheGoodJoe(the mancity fan who defends keshi so much... Hahaha...), LeeCodeman, Linked among others. Your incisive analyses, funny or sometimes silly comments, facts digging, Word plays and brilliant deductions plus more keep me coming back for more. Respect Sirs! I'm actually an SL10 forumite and was kinda surprised but full of pride when a nairalander quoted me on this thread couple of days ago in response to 'flying eagles 2005 and flying eagles 2015: de ja vu?' I'm actually 'that' forumite who wrote this, "And one more thing... It isn't de ja vu..." The Nairalander (bless his heart) must have culled it from the SL10 thread that carried that piece and the comments of other esteemed SL10 Forumites. It's great to be a Nairalander officially.
Now for the last but the best... Safari Girl (apart frm Joseph 1013) is one brilliant individual that keeps bringing me to this thread. You just gotta give it to the lady... She's very knowledgeable, is witty with words and ideas, got an absolutely outstanding sense of humor and much more. Thank you Miss for making this thread one to behold... Thanks to all and Godbless.
In days to come, y'all be seeing more of me... I love Soccer... I believe in the Super Flying Eagles... And I love Taiwo Awoniyi too *winks*
A bientot!

Bro you are welcome.
Actually, am the person that pulled out that heart warming comparative analysis of the 2005/2015 Flying Eagles teams. That was a very nice article. Very sorry for not referencing the post properly.

I also went ahead and posted on Sl10 forum (which am also a registered member) to inform them to joing Nairaland since I got to know that Sl10 may close down before the 2015 FIFA U-20 world Cup in N' Zealand begins. Now that you are here, hope you will be a better testimony to them.

Uhmm... Which Haruna do you speak of Sir? If it's Haruna Lukman then please note that you've made a faux pas. Haruna lukman featured at the 2009 fifa u20 world cup in Egypt. Mikel starred in 2005. Mikel was taken off in that game against Korea Republic(i.e. South Korea) and was replaced by a certain Kola Anubi... And what happened next? We gave up our lead and went on to lose 1-2. Boy!!! That result got me a little scared ahead of our next game against a Senderos- and Alexander Frei-inspired Switzerland. I was just in Jss3/SS 1 back then in 2005. I was having a great week at school academically only for that result to stain it. Never the less, Thank God we recovered and went on to stun the world but couldn't get the title no thanks to Messi. THAT'S ONE OF THE REASONS I'M BANKING ON THE LIKES OF AWONIYI THE INTELLECTUAL, IHEANACHO THE GENIUS, YAHAYA THE INIESTA, SUCCESS THE BEAST, IDOWU THE 4-LUNGED HORSE, MUSA MOHAMMED THE ROBOCOP, EZEH THE BABY-FACED ASSASIN AMONG OTHERS LED BY MANU GARBA THE WISE TASK MASTER AND NDUKA UGBADE THE SCIENCE OF FOOTBALL PROFESSOR TO DELIVER GOLD AGAINST ALL ODDS.
I know they will deliver... No hypes intended. They stand on the threshold of greater greatness...

bro you have just finished expatiating on key components/players of the theory of TOTAL FOOTBALL propounded by Prof. Manu Garba & Sir McNduka Ugbade.
Hahahahahahahahahahaha the world youth championship is in trouble.

Wish me luck guys. Pray for me cheesy.....i'll still need help from anyone who can contavt him in case my efforts fail (which is highly possible)

Been watching your lovestruck efforts with a pang of bemusement. Lol.

Anyway, the only bit of advice I can proffer is to get in touch with @guysly2much or search for Mr Mowiz on Twitter. Send him a DM..im sure he'll recognize/ remember you right from your Kickoffnigeria.com days. Tell him your plight and keep your fingers crossed.

I'd have given you a bit of a chase back from the BBHotshot says but I felt you were already taken so held my peace. Lol!

Here's to wishing you your heart's desires madame..!

Nice to have you here bro. I love visiting SL10. It's a great place and what I like most are the commenters. I was glad when I saw familiar commenters from the now defunct KON forum. I dont like commenting on sl10 though because they always ban anytime I put a link to youtube or any other useful website as regards sports. KON allowed us to put links on our comments back then and I still miss it. I resigned finally when I was trying to tell sl10 folks about this wonderful thread and sl10 deleted my comments.

Anyway, it's nice to have you here. I'm sure you'll love it here. Cheers bro.

NB: Kudos to joseph1013. He's to be appreciated because even when no one was reading his articles posted or commenting on his thread, he was always posting. If I remember correctly, he started this thread when Manu Garba was promoted to be the Flying Eagles Coach in November 2013, the same time Amunike was appointed Golden Eaglets coach. The hackers stormed nairaland and deleted all his contents but he was not discouraged. He simply kept on posting and updating the thread. Kudos bro.

This is an example of someone who is truly passionate about what he is doing. I look at @nff on social media and I'm ashamed. Late updates, obsolete contents and a generally not interesting platform for football fans to participate. I wont be wrong if I say that Joseph1013 is the kind of person they should employ to bring life to their image on the internet. He's been doing this without gratitude or payments for so long. He truly loves and is passionate about football. Well done, Sir!

you are just on point. The last time I visited the site to refer them to Nairaland and I mistakenly typed 'www.nairaland.com' a message just came up that 'post created but profenity notice' and my post did not update until I had to delete that portion.

What are you waiting for bro. Those guys have very good knowlegde of analytical football. Lets go out there to pull them to our forum. Most of them are also from different parts of the world just like we have here in NL. (Nairaland brings home to even those who are abroad in its own unique way).
Argentina coach foresees tough title bid

Argentina coach, Humberto Grondona, says he expects to have a fully fit squad before kickoff but admits winning the 2015 Fifa Under-20 World Cup title will not come easy.

The Argentines qualified to the New Zealand tournament as South American champions and there is huge expectation back home that Grondona’s side would lift their seventh world title come June 20.

The Argentine under-20s are currently struggling with injuries to four players - Andres Cubas, Cristian Pavon, Sebastian Driussi and Emiliano Buendia.

“I think that come May 30 everybody will be fit and available,” he said.

"We know we are going very well, we comfortably won the South American championship but the World Cup is different.

”We know that we are a team with good potential. We maintain the structure in defence and try to put together a team that best deals with the ball. We are the best in Southern America but winning the title is difficult,“ Grondona admitted.

Argentina are in Group B of the 2015 Under-20 World Cup with Panama, Ghana and Austria.

Why don't you apply for a sports editor? You possess a good writing skills

Good bit of advice.

Heck! She could even ask @guysly2much if she could write for his new footie-website on a part-time basis. That would be quite the learning curve..i think.

these ones and Mali just want to go and embarrass themselves in New Zealand. Especially those otondo Malians.

As far as Africa is concerned, na only Nigeria and Ghana waka come New Zealand, the others just escort them

I beg to differ with you on this but still stand to be corrected though. I thought Senegal gave us real battle of our lives during the AYC which SFE won. In my own observation, I rate Senegal above Ghana and Mali. Just pray they don't prove me wrong sha.

Iheanacho levels for Man City

55. GOAL FOR CITY! A piece of individual brilliance by @67Kelechi , who turns his man before slotting coolly into the bottom corner! 1-1.

The boy can't stop scoring!

I will HATE to see those set of forumers on this Thread!

Such a terribly myopic and extremely egocentric bunch of louts!

Only a few of them were pretty much level headed and made insightful comments.

Abeg, the atmosphere of this thread should remain as it is.. its far more refreshing than most other Naija sport forums i know save cybereagles.com.

I'm of the opinion that it was too physical oriented and the playing turf did not allow for fluid movement of the ball hence the Flying Eagles were at a disadvantage.

It's going to be a different ball game in New Zealand.

Brace for Iheanacho against United's U21.....now 3-1....some Angel dude scored the second goal.

6 goals in 7 appearances, Pellegrini must be drinking from the same stream as Keshi to not give this boy a first team berth at the EPL

We await Brazil cool

i just hope this news isn't true. Success is a wonderful guy. His goal against sweden just keep coming to my mind-it will take a world class striker to do such. But y will this european clubs take us for granted. Granada started this mess. De just hold him back for no reason. He is not even playing. How will a FIFA organised tournament won't be on FIFA calender-pls I need someone to enlighten me on this. Because this was granada's reason for not releasing him at first. Wishing him all d best.
