THE STRUGGLE FOR LIFE

A biology teacher was teaching his students how
a caterpillar turns into a butterfly. He told the
students that in the next couple of hours, the
butterfly would struggle to come out of the
cocoon, but no one should help the butterfly
out.
Then he left.
The students were waiting and it happened. The
butterfly struggled to get out of the cocoon and
against the advice of the teacher, one of the
students took pity on it and decided to help the
butterfly out of the cocoon. He broke the cocoon
to help the butterfly so it didn't have to struggle
anymore.
But, shortly afterwards, the butterfly died.
When the teacher returned, he was told what
happened. He explained to the students that it
is the law of nature that the struggle to come
out of the cocoon actually helps develop and
strengthen the butterfly's wings. By helping the
butterfly, the boy had deprived the butterfly of
it's struggle and the butterfly died.

Nothing worthwhile in life comes without
struggle.

Lol... hmmm! should dat opinion of urs be tagged Opinion or Wish....?

Broda, Mostly all d success stories we know or hear about have undergone struggles....... But d truth is just dat it is of different level, degree and intensity.

Oga mi, I'm just here viewing you guys ni o....

You've already mentioned the key which is STRUGGLE... What type of struggle? Is it that of a graduate on whose face doors have been shut quite for innumerable time in the pursuit of his dream that keeps pressing on? Or that of a rich boy who only needed to READ well to come out in flying colours and get posted?

The conclusion is 'there must be struggle'. What type of struggle? You define it yourself. We all have different pursuits at a certain point in term. Those activities that paints you an always moving hungry man in the course of your pursuit is your struggle. Can you keep it up till you get THERE? The choice is yours.

WAITING OR WISHING?

A flood was threatening
a small town and
everyone was leaving
for safe ground
except for one man
who said, "God will
save me. I have faith".
As the water level rose a jeep came to rescue
him, the man refused, saying, "God will save
me. I have faith."
As the water level rose further, he went up to
the second story of his house, and a boat
came to help him. Again he refused to go
saying, "God will save me. I have faith".
The water kept rising and the man climbed on
to the roof. A helicopter came to rescue him,
but he said, "God will save me. I have faith."
Well, finally he drowned. When he reached his
Maker he angrily questioned, "I had complete
faith in you. Why did you ignore my prayers
and let me drown? "
The Lord replied, "Who do you think sent you
the jeep, the boat and the helicopter?"
The only way to overcome a fatalistic attitude
is
to accept responsibility and believe in the law
of cause and effect rather than luck. It takes
action, preparation and planning rather than
waiting, wondering and wishing, to accomplish
any goal in life.

the total number we have now is 31....

Shall we proceed to the next item?
Re: ~::ANSOAU~::(Information Crib) by papindinho(m): 10:48am On Jul 13, 2014
To achieve this, the following steps are to be collectively taken:

(1) posting of one's course and its faculty e.g Papindinho, Course/faculty: Yoruba language/arts and humanities

(2) collation of data provided in (1) based on faculties with departments well outlined

(3) nomination and election of faculty cordinators

(4) nomination and election of central cordinators (if there would be any)

(5) outlining of off-line arrangements

NB: the composition of (3) and (4) will be deliberated upon even though we are all cordinators. Thus, the composition of central cordinators shouldn't exceed two and its faculty units shouldn't exceed three per faculty.
Further amendment of steps may be done based on the conscensus reached.

It should also be noted that the success of this lies in all our actions and I believe this gathering can move a mountain through cooperation and network of good relations.

Thank you all.
Signed by Papinx....

Shall we? And please let's create the awareness. Some other members are not here cause they are unaware...
Thanks
