Redoil: The hatred for fashola by soldiers was due to the governor insulting one of their officer somtimes ago. Fashola should go and apologise to them first.
A democratically elected governor of a state should go and apologise to privates, corporal, and recruits. You guys deserve the hell you going through in that s.h.i.thole.

Typical of the Nigerian soldiers to Lay blames on area boys , not surprised though these area boys are the ones that take the blames and being used as the sacrificial lamb . The same thing was said when soldiers burnt down a police station somewhere around stadium, their spokesperson was quick to divert all blames of the destructions and vandalization perpetrated by their boys on 'area boys' . Police will storm the said place soon , arrest as many 'area boys' as they can even if it it means arresting boys living in the area .

Atk1nson: If d army can deny sumtin dis open, I wonder how one can trust the news dey give from Sambisa forest

Exactly, if they can lie about something thousands of eye witnesses saw and there are some pictures of then I can't even believe anything they say about the north again. No wonder they always claim to have killed or caught hundreds of Boko Haram yet Boko Haram attacks are even increasing.

Truth be said, I was there yesterday before the buses started burning. I didn't see a single soldier near any of the buses. Unless those people in plain clothes around the buses then were actually soldiers in civilian clothes. This is another case that should be thoroughly investigated. Some people may have done this and plotted to blame it on some elusive "soldiers". Nigerians are full of lies and deceit these days.

minimoha: Over 5 BRT buses were set on fire by alleged Nigerian
soldiers along Ikorodu Road in Lagos as one of the buses hit
and killed another soldier this morning, July 4.

According to witnesses, an unidentified soldier was riding a bicycle to
work when the BRT bus knocked him down at the Palmgrove bus
stop.

However, Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Army, Gen. Olajide
Olaleye, stated that it wasn’t Nigerian soldiers who carried out the
rampage.

"It’s not true that soldier destroyed buses or set any bus on fire," he
said. "What happened was that a BRT bus knocked down a soldier and
killed him. [b/]As usual in Lagos so area boys gathered and a few soldiers
stopped at the scene as well[b\] The GOC has dispatched military
policemen to the scene to help restore law and order

as usual the soldiers stood back and watch the area boys vandalize the buses. Never knew there is a strong cooperation between agberos and soldiers such that they help soldiers to take revenge.

this trading of blames is predictable and typical of Nigeria. I wish there was a video for the incident.
