Great people,am running a poultry farm of 350 num of layers birds. Presently they r seven months old and my problem is that they r producing only 12 eggs daily. This is making me go crazy because they r consuming as much as one bag daily. Pls what r my doing wrong pls.

What type of feed are you giving them ? Grower or layers ?
When did they start to lay ?
If your giving layer mash when did you start to give it to them ?
I think 1bag a day is small for 350birds

Let me help you bro. No 1 thing i want u to do is to tell me how old are they in weeks and when u began to give then layer mash in weeks. It is not right to count poultry age in months although i knw that 4 wks make a month but not always.

Get a reputable veterinarian or animal health technologist to see your birds. They will give you best advice and teach what to do. Requesting for a solution here is a waste of time. We can see your birds., so any diagnosis here may be wrong. Where are you (location).

you are underfeeding them a bag of layers mash (well formulated) goes for 200 birds if you are using topfeed , then 1 bag will go for 240 birds. The theory of egg production is that u feed the bird to maintain itself and a little extra to produce eggs. If u underfeed they will just be maintaining themselves if you overfeed you are wasting money and ur birds will become fat drop in production and eventually begin to die of fatty liver syndrome

U feed 350 layers only one bag per day? Not only that, u also feed them once a day. Chei!! That's where u get it wrong bro. Layers of that age shud be eating about 0.125kg per bird per day. 4or the 350 birds it is 43.75kg feed per day. One bag is 25kg, so ur birds shud be eating 1 bag and 19kg of feed. 19kg is half bag plus 6.5kg. So therefore, ur birds shud be consuming slightly over 1 and half bag per day.

When u start feeding them well, it may take a week or two b4 u start seeing a positive result. Wish u good luck, birds can eat...

If @ 28weeks dey produce just 12 eggs per day with 350 birds, something is wrong. About the feed, u should feed them in the morning and evening. The total feed 350 layers should consumed per day is 35kg (which is 1 bag plus 10kg of feed). and your water must be sufficient 24/7. then get multivitamin it looks like blood tonic, put 4 spoon of it into a bucket of water and mix with your hand, replicate it so that it wl b sufficient for 350, give them for one week. I blv u wl see changes.

I will advise you consult a vet doctor.
Your best bet is to get a mentor, someone who has been in this business.feeding your birds once a day isn't good and one bag is too small for them.
