ISIS or The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, the rebel group who continue to seize control of large regions within the two countries, have issued a stern warning to FIFA.

The group threatened in a letter directed at FIFA President Sepp Blatter that they will bomb the World Cup in 2022, if FIFA does not immediately change the venue from Qatar.

The militant group warned FIFA if the tournament went ahead in the Arab country it would take action with long-range Scud missiles.

Published on ISIS’s forum on Sunday and republished in Egypt’s Al Wattan Newspaper, the letter addresses FIFA President Sepp Blatter by his first name ‘ Joseph’.

The full translated transcript of the letter has been published below:

Dear Joseph,

We had sent a message to you back in 2010, when you decided or were bribed by the former Amir of Qatar to have the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Now, after the establishment of the Caliphate state, we declare that there will be no World Cup in Qatar since Qatar will be part of the Caliphate under the rule of the Caliph Ibrahim Bin Awad Alqarshi [al-Baghdadi's full name] who doesn’t allow corruption and diversion from Islam in the land of the Muslims. This is why we suggest that you will decide upon a replacement country instead of Qatar. The Islamic state has long-range Scud missiles that can easily reach Qatar, as the Americans already know.

Although, there have been several so called allegations of bribery against Qatar, since the nation won the 2022 World Cup bid over the US and Australia in 2010; no proof has yet surfaced proving these allegations to be anything more than controversies cooked up by the Western Media.



ISIS had earlier this month paraded a missile that resembled an aged Scud missile in Syria, earlier this month but experts do not believe they have the capability to carry out a strike of that magnitude outside their strongholds of Iraq and Syria.
