Moral of the story and grand hypocrisy...

Gas pipeline vandalization affects power supply, but water pipeline vandalization doesn't affect water supply.

Only on NL...lol

Nigeria: Militants Attack Shell Pipeline

April 1, 2014 | Energy | Africa

Nigeria’s Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta Sunday claimed responsibility for an attack on a Shell pipeline . . .

The group said it used scuba divers to damage the underwater pipeline, currently undergoing repairs thanks to previous attacks by militants . . . Shell Nigeria stopped exports from its Forcados terminal on March 4 to repair previous damage to its pipelines . . . the Forcados terminal exports approximately 400,000 barrels of crude a day, which is more than a fifth of Nigeria’s total exports . . . underwater sabotage is a new strategy for militants, which previously have targeted above-ground pipelines and facilities . . . criminals also regularly steal oil, siphoning more than 200,000 barrels a day to sell on the black markets . . .

Increased insecurity combined with revisions in Nigeria’s oil revenue laws are discouraging new foreign investment, which is straining Nigeria’s economy.

Give billions to terrorists to protect the same pipelines they turn around and blow up all over and over again and again...

Insecurity in N/Delta delays power supply

The Nigeria’s Federal Government says the insecurity in the Niger Delta has greatly affected the ability of the government to deploy the 4,500 megawatts of electricity being generated in the country.

According to a statement issued by the Presidential Steering Committee on the National Integrated Power Projects (NIPP), the Niger Delta crisis weighs heavily on the Nigerian power sector.

The committee said only 2,500 megawatts of electricity generated were being transmitted stating some host communities where the power projects were sited were making it difficult to meet the target for laying the transmission lines.

And the same reckless and irresponsible FG splash billions on the same people to protect what they turn around and blow up.

All while the same FG issues countless promises and dates for astronomical MWs and improved electricity..

smh..
