Recently, precisely last Saturday, I discovered a Facebook page had 'delightfully' shared this story on their page between October 25 and November 7. And all this without my permission. And because of their criminal action I am at present dealing with a wordpress blog who also copied the story from the Facebook page and posted on the blog. And worse still, a lot of the Facebook friends and followers 'gladly' clicked the share button and joined in the delightful proliferation of TAKE ME AS I AM.

I am hurt. I am infuriated. And I am disappointed... greatly.

And I saw many Nairaland stories on the page and knew he/she got it from here.

For that singular reason, among many I have otherwise reached myself, I shall be removing TAKE ME AS A AM from here. And should anyone wish to read it, they should visit my blog.

For same reason, I shall no longer post full stories on Nairaland. I am done.

The guilty Facebook page is Amebor Gist and my story have since been removed on my request. But still, I find this site too porous and accessible and cannot continue to risk my sweat and talent.

This is not about vex, Jeffrey. And I am too hurt and devastated by this to laugh about it... don't know if I ever will.

Yes, I feel more confident of my blog. It can happen there, no doubt. But there is a much better form of control and a more visible Copyright Protection(s) I'm hoping will instil a measure of fear in petty thieves.

And since TMAIA would be the last long free read as such, I think I am taking care of things the best I can.

Even copyrighted printed and published ebooks get pirated, but writers can only do their best to protect their works and to fight against these criminals.

I am not seeking understanding or approval from anyone. The work is mine, the decision of what to dob with/about it is also entirely mine.

I only ask my readers for support... but not at the detriment of my work, talent and peace of mind.
