My pitbull, Chan has a case of hyper-salivation. He can hardly play with you without getting you all wet and you would always sees strings of saliva anywhere he walks. Please, who can help with a quick fix or what I can do to reduce this. I initially felt he would out-grow it but he is already over 15 months and it doesn't look like he would ever stop. |

always keep a bowl of clean water around to avoid dehydration,other than that, your pit looks healthy there's no cause for alarm. |

Oh sure, he has clean water always. The saliva is so bad that I don't allow him indoors again. |

@Yaba boy, its very common for the mastiff family.They are big droolers. Also, if you need to exercise your dog more. Its looking a bit lean for a pit. Give him supplements( BULLY MAX IS EXCELLENT) and give him more protein 1 Like |

@hunthsmankennel: I don't think he's really lean. This was taken at 11 months, I think he still has a bit of growing especially to fill out. He is 15 months now. He feeds well on dry food and is also on good supplements. I'm just concerned about the excessive saliva. |

He is dehydrated some how, bath and groom him regularly and make sure you are feeding protein rich food and don't waist your money on supplement. Can you post his kennel? |
