FirstBank and PayPal have partnered to provide FirstBank customers with a convenient and innovative way to shop online and send money to anyone seamlessly.

Opening your PayPal account on FirstOnline makes it more convenient for you as you are operating from FirstBank secure online banking environment. PayPal will trust your account and lift restrictions usually applied on new PayPal accounts i.e. PayPal accounts with unverified card details will be subject to a transaction limit pending verification. You can also select different cards to attach with PayPal and choose the card you wish to use when making payment.

      Enrolment on FirstOnline is free and gives you instant access to all of PayPal’s service offerings.

      FirstBank MasterCard and Visa cards which are enabled for online international transactions can easily be linked to your PayPal account (Verve Acceptance is currently being explored)

      FirstBank is the only Nigerian Bank partnering with PayPal at this time.

      Login to FirstOnline at https://ibank.firstbanknigeria.com

      Choose “PayPal wallet” in the main tab and click “Create PayPal Wallet” on the sub menu

      Select which card(s) you wish to link to your PayPal account and which of these cards will be the default card

      Review details entered

      Input the code generated from your online banking token and confirm the information therein

      A popup window will appear. Use this to create your PayPal password

      Click on “agree and create account”

      You’re done! You will receive a confirmation message on the website as well as an email confirming the account creation

      Enrolment is free!

PLEASE DO NOT GIVE ANYBODY YOUR PAYPAL PASSWORD, AND NOTE THAT FIRSTBANK OR PAYPAL WILL NEVER ASK YOU FOR YOUR PAYPAL PASSWORD!

A PayPal account created on FirstOnline is activated and verified instantly. You do not need to go through any other form of activation or verification. Simply logon to: www.paypal.com with your PayPal account email address and password.
You can use your PayPal account to make or receive payments for goods and services online.

      Shop online with millions of merchants around the world.

      Perform cross border transactions safely and securely anywhere at any time.

      Pay for things and send money without sharing your financial information.

      Checkout quickly at hundreds of your favourite online stores.

What's all this crase about PayPal undecided I'm so appalled seeing Niherian banks running heads over shoulder to market gheir various cards all in the name of PayPal. Haba Before PayPal we survived abi? We can make purchases using Master Card Naira ...thanks to Interswitch and Master Card.

No bank has exclusive partnership with PayPal. If the bank has PayPal on their Internet Banking interface, its just a link to PayPal site and nothing more than that. Don't be hoodwink into the current PayPal crase.

Having a PayPal account doesn't mean merchants on Ebay or elsewhere who abhors shipping to Nigeria would have a change of heart. Neither do those with phobia doing business from an IP address emanating from Nigeria.

Lastly, don't forget that with the coming of PayPal, more bank accounts and debit cards are now at risk of being stolen from those who don't know how to handle social engineering threats.

Please be guided!
