hello fellow mathemacians,
just discover this while manipulating numbers, in class

how you quickly find the square of numbers without lifting a finger.

eg find the square of 15?

u can quickly do this without using calc or writing down

just say: 1*1+1 = 2
then find 5*5 = 25
lastly combine them together = 225

example 2

find the square of 25
again: 2*2+2 =6
then 5*5 again = 25
join them together = 625


example 3:

find the square of 75

again you say 7*7+7 = 56
and 5*5 = 25
finally join them together as we did before = 5625

this formula only work for numbers between 1-100 and the last number must end with 5

I will post the formula for other range: keep rocking!

wow nice 1 bro......the spirit is 1 dsame tin av bin workin on too really learnt from this ....m working & thinking of finding roots of integers quicker & also multiplying /diving >3 digit numbers without calculator , our brain is a potential calculator just that sometyms we feel lazy to put it to work , ..

As much as u tried and deserv kudoz, ur logic isnt absolute. U should av made ur topic more specific by saying, getting squares of numbers that ends in 5 and below 10. Cos wt ur formula, 63*63 gives 3969 which is different when one use ur style. Nice work anyway

Ok here's this one.
Any two digit number multiplied by 11 just add the number and put it in between the original numbers if ur answer is a two digit number add the first number to the original first digit. Example

25 x 11 = 2 (2+5) 5= 275

So that's one short or simple way I used back then in the primary school to quickly solve maths problems involving the 11 multiplication table.

OP it only works for very few numbers within that range. For example try 12 * 12 and see that it won't work

My Problem!
find the square of 11
again: 1*1+1 =2
then 1*1 again = 1
join them together = 21 (Actual answer --> 11^2 = 121)

Same for 12 - 14

I conclude that to every rule or scientific formulation, there is a loop hole

squares of numbers between 10 n 100 that end in 5.(the formulae doesnt work for 5;i stand to b corrected)

squares of 2 digit numbers that end in 5..
