I hope you will say that IF Nigeria breaks.
Which resulting country will have the oil in the offshore?

The way the land is SUITABLE for agricultural activities due to NUTRIENTS present in it so also the land where oil is found.
Get it Meanwhile the Niger Delta people suffer the consequences of the oil revenue that we ALL depend on as a nation shocked

Don't pray that Nigeria breaks bro, cos if it does we in the Niger Delta will be plagued by unending war. As long as Nigeria remains one we all collectively own our resources and problems. We collectively own the Book haram menace just as we collectively own the Niger Delta militancy.
As for environmental degradation of the Niger Delta, records show that oil theft and vandalism championed by our people, are the major culprits. The IOCs have sold off most of their onshore and shallow water offshore investments because the host continue to encourage economic sabotage. Very soon they will abandon all high risk areas and move to safer areas in the Gulf of Guinea ( Angola, Congo et al.) because people like you think oil belongs to certain ethnic nationalities who find themselves in a geographical location which their ancestors cannot lay claim to.

Henry Okah did not bomb Eagle Square and has never admitted to doing so... Why do U have to twist history just to satisfy Ur bigoted ego?

Your brother Henry Okah was convicted and jailed for 13counts of terrorism charges of bombing and killing 12 people at the Eagle square Abuja. This conviction and jailing was by a respected court of law in South Africa. You expect him to say yes he did it? then Hitler did not kill any Jew because he didn't admit it? When do wicked and vile criminals become the judges? The guy and all his MEND gang involved should have been hanged. Read on;

Henry Okah

Henry Okah, sentenced in South Africa to 24 years imprisonment on terrorism charges, has been caught in a failed jail break attempt, prison authorities said Monday.

“I can confirm that Okah is one of the five inmates that attempted to escape and whose efforts were foiled,” Manelisi Wolela, spokesman for South Africa’s department of correctional services, told AFP.

He did not give details of the attempted escape from Leeukop prison in northern Johannesburg that was said to have taken place in January.

Okah was convicted last year and sentenced on 13 counts of terrorism, including twin bombings that killed 12 people in the Nigerian capital Abuja as the country celebrated the 50th anniversary of its independence in 2010.

He was arrested, tried and convicted in South Africa where he has permanent residency.
The department said most of the offenders involved in the botched bid to escape are serving life sentences for serious offences including murder, kidnapping and robbery.

Correctional services officials said security at the prison, which recorded 11 attempted jail breaks in the 12 months until March last year, had been tightened.

Get that into ur head.
Anything less than GEJ simply means the division of Nigeria.
GEJ must complete is his second term and leave in 2019. Anything less than that is unaceptable.

We want the division of Nigeria. What are you waiting for?

Interesting analysis. And you think the situation of in-fighting is different in the other six regional parts of Nigeria
Care to explain further the highlighted?

That can NOT be true.
Did your delegates at the National Conference also call for that
Did your legislators in the National Assembly propose amendments to our constitution to reflect your statement- "We want the division of Nigeria."

It takes millions of years for crude to mature. We have been able to trace our history to a few hundred years back. Meaning we know little about what was before us. Our ancestors wondered about in search of food and were displaced severally by wars. Where we call home today maybe far from our ancestral root. At least that is what modern history suggest.

If we are to tackle it the same way the civil war was tackled, then he is invariably saying that the North East region should be razes down with men, women and children killed just as they did in the south east until the people surrendered.

Hmm... Let me reserve my comment.

But come to think of it, Boko haram is not an ethinic or regional group na. They have members scattered round the North and even in the south so how can we apply the same tactics that was used during the civil war, for this war?

Over to you the people's general or maybe your disciples on NL can answer on your behalf kwa.

This is true for almost all human societies - those who claim to be "indigenes" are those who migrated/arrived much earlier than those they label "settlers" to the geographical space.
How many Southerners can lay any claim to space in the north? Even when we are recruited for their low level jobs we still get discriminated against, in the SAME country where we are all citizens shocked

Because when boko boys were killing Christians and non northerners, the northern people supported them and believe they were fighting the cause of jihad. Now the table has turn around and you guys want us to reason together? Why dont you and brothers in the north start changing the religious orientation that is been thought in the mosque by extremist imams. Haven't you wondered why every northerners extremist reason alike? there must be a problem some where and that problem start from the indoctrination of the young northerners into adult hood to kill and to destroy any one that is not like them. they call them infidel. So u guys should stop playing the ostrich and face the real problem.
This is a lie. We Northern muslims did not support BH. In the beginning, people were afraid of talking publicly cos many that did so were murdered in there homes. It was later that people started having the guts to say their minds. I assure you if 2% of Northern muslims sympathieses woth BH, the country would have been something else by now. What worries me is the degree of insincerity of the Christian south in trying to make the BH issue to look like it is the entire muslims against only the Christians and deliberately changing facts to belittle the North. Sometimes it makes me feel that all this must be a grand conspiracy which involves the entire south and Christiandom.

You have gotten my point. We all are settlers one way or the other. We should accept our common humanity and seek for what binds us together and not what separates us.
No race or ethnic nationality is superior to the other. The soup that was cooked by all cannot be the exclusive reserve of the owner of the kitchen or the pot. If Shell, Chevron et al., can have a share of Nigeria oil wealth, I see no reason the Hausa man from Sokoto should not benefit.
A good leader no matter where he is from, will see to the good of the majority. That's is the kind of leader we should clamour for, not just a man from your village or one that has the same religious orientation with you.
There is no single drop of oil in Otueke where the president is from but he is enjoying what we termed our chance and our oil money. Should we that are from communities that actually produce the oil and suffer the impact say he does not qualify to hold what belongs to us now (presidency) for this reason? Let's stop fooling ourselves with the born-to-rule notion that we hold about the Northerners. May the best man lead this country and take us out of the woods.

I whole-heartedly share the IDEAL that you have elaborated above, particularly the highlighted portion. However I am mindful of the realities of Nigeria's current situation and have to reasonably calibrate my (re)action accordingly.

Who gets the oil money. Certainly not the majority peasant farmers and petty traders of the north. They can definitely see clearly and take their own lives in their hands without the poison chalice called oil money. The movement for separation has to start somewhere and many northerners are realizing that. Talk is cheap goes for MASSOP , I'm talking of the north.
