@bolded: What is the difference between God stopping his schooling at 400L and God uprooting Abraham and his business to go to a land he knew nothing about? Or between stopping his schooling and taking Elisha from his farmwork to serve Elijah? Or between stopping his schooling and redirecting Paul's course when he tried to go to Asia to preach the Gospel? Is it disorganization that God should disrupt people's programmes if He Himself has a programme planned that He would have them pursue?

About details, God has been known to take people up both as individuals and as groups to head for destinations they know nothing about. He has also been known to take people on journeys to destinations they do know but by ways that He told them nothing about. For the former, examples are Abraham and Paul. For the latter, there are Jeremiah, Elijah and his taking up into glory, David and his journey to the throne.

Our walk with God is one of trust. Many times we may not know or see the way, we may even misread and misunderstand God, but "there is a stone in Zion, if any man falls upon it he shall be broken. Anyone upon whom it falls shall be crushed. Any one who puts his trust in him shall not be put to shame." It is those who try to be safe in this life that many times reject the beckonings of God because leaps of faith can be frighteningly costly. Faith always counts on the ability of God to save, preserve and give increase.

To me, i think the university education is good,but after acquring it what next The certificate would just be another piece of paper. He had just 1 year to go and that's a sacrifice. When Jesus called peter,he left his fishing net AT THE SPOT. Putting God on hold when he says GO can be dangerous @least he can read, write and speak well and that's just what is required to preach the gospel

Actually, Peter continued fishing. Many people who were called did not relinquish all they were doing to answer. It was not always necessary to.

The important thing is that God takes such priority that when He calls all of one's activities are judged in light of His call. Nothing is allowed to rival or compete with it. So if Jesus was preaching while Peter was fishing and He required his boat, Peter would have to forego fishing for that moment until Jesus freed up his boat again.

Also, I think it is a dangerous thought to consider putting God on hold a dangerous thing to do. Not because it is wrong indeed but because God's relationship to His children is not one of a frightening taskmaster but of a loving Father who puts the wellbeing of His children first and thus deserves that they obey Him implicity without fear for their own good. Consider that when Peter gave up his boat for Jesus to use he got so much back for it. He had been toiling all night and caught nothing but after Jesus was done preaching from his boat, He told him to launch out into the deep and let down his nets. The catch was so much that Peter immediately recognized that he was standing before Holiness itself and asked Jesus to leave him seeing that he was so sinful.

Every time we obey God regardless the cost He more than makes up for the cost involved in the obedience. And even when we misunderstand Him and obey only what we think He said He does not leave us to carry the burden of our mistake alone. The same way we would gently restore our children when in all the best intentions they try to do what they think we want but damage something or worse still hurt themselves in the process, our Father picks us up, cleans us up, speaks comfort to us and covers over all the failure and its consequences.
