Hello, if ure going to Akwa-Ibom from Ibadan, this is for you. Today, I made some enquiries from 2 transport companies. Cross Country and AKTC transport.
For Aktc transport; located @ samonda opposite Accord party house, the prices varies according to the type of bus. A/c bus goes for 4,460 yl bus wif no AC is 3260 only. Although, dr is no arrangement to drop us in camp. I spoke to the manager (08026310388) and he made an exemption that only if we can have up to 7 corpers in either of the bus, dy'll drop us in camp wif extra charges tho... Which is quite good.

And for cross country.. Straight to camp is 6K5.
I'm leaving on tuesday, which means I'll be buying d ticket on Monday. Pls for us traveling from IB. Lemme knw ur plan..

No idea really bro, but it shouldn't be more than 3k or less. The journey is roughly 4 hrs according to what a friend told me.

You can enter camp a day before it opens, I served in Akwa Ibom too and during my time I arrived camp a day before the official opening, there are camp officials there, the gate is open, u can sleep in one of d hostels, but have to get up early and line up at d gate to be registered.

divalindiway: Please am making a personal plan. If u have been around the camp ever before, i just wanted to knw if there is any atm around the camp vicinity. I mean outside the camp. Tnx

There is no ATM or any big shop anywhere close to the camp, so withdraw all ur money and buy all u need from town before entering camp. No one is allowed to leave the gate after entering, so get all ur money before venturing into d jungle, the good thing is that there is mami market where u can get everything u want. Go with plenty of money if u like flexing because d 3 weeks is like 3 months, u might end up spending all ur money.

As of 2013 MTN and Airtel where d only stable network there,though without 3G only EDGE. Maybe by now they have 3G.
