please, who says prayer doesn't work? i am speaking from personal experience, infact not just prayer works, prayer and fasting helps a lottt..

@op, I will advise you to get closer to God, I know you want to stop, I know you feel dirty every time you do it, but you can't help yourself, you keep going back to it, the truth is that masturbation is a spirit, watching porn also has a spirit behind it, I will not lie to you, it takes determination, discipline, and the holy spirit to overcome this vices , you might try on your own, but my bro, it will not take long before you fall back into it, you need God's help.
now let me give you a few steps that will help you

1. bring yourself to reality, stop living in the fantasies created by this porns, firstly, not every woman you see on the road wants to have sexx with you, life is not all about sexx, pornns stars are actors, they are make-believe artists, those situations don't usually happen in real life..

2. read on masturbation and it effects, if don't know, mastutbation will affect you, not just you, your spouse will suffer. too much masturbation is one of the main causes of erectile dusfunction, quick ejaculation etc, also, masturbation is a paved way to get into more sexual ills, like homosexuality, most homosexuals started as masturbating addicts.
so you see, it has no long run profit, infact it has no profit than the "1 min" pleasure you get from it, think of your future spouse, for her sake stop it .

"fasting" as it is known is a spiritual activity, it has to do with self cleansing, during fasting, you will find yourself not wanting to desecrate your self, thereby with outstanding the temptation to give in, one day, two days, as you continue, your self esteem and confidence increases, you find out that you can actually do this, and with more determination and God's help you will overcome, those erotic images and voices that stimulates you, begin to fade, then the holy spirit begins to work on you..

note: you have accept Jesus before God can help you, if you think you can do this on your own, you are deceiving yourself, don't let anyone kid you into believing masturbation is something you can stop on your own because you want to, you might just find your self running in circles..
