Before opening this post after seeing the topic,i thought to myself! Broad street must be there,and Allen avenue too,ademola adetokunbo and adeola odeku too!and Bode Thomas ofcos! And guess what They made the list!
P.S I don't leave in lagos...but I have heard of these streets a million times!

Many of Nigeria's biggest tv stars and most famous businessmen lived on Awolowo Road in the 1970s and '80's (don't forget that the Presidency was located on Ribadu Road, off Awolowo Road). It became the home to most of the best shops in Nigeria in the mid-1980s to mid-1990's. Then the banks took over in the 1990s and now the shops are back.

It has some of the most expensive real estate in Lagos.

1) Broad Street: Former financial capital of Nigeria (Central Bank, Stock Exchange [off Broad Street], most banks).

2) Awolowo Road: Residence of the stars, most exclusive shops (including, at one time, the only Bang And Olufsen store in Africa), nightclubs, new generation bank capital.

3) Allen Avenue: Banks, banks and more banks.

4) Adeniran Ogunsanya: One time fashion capital of Lagos.

5) Marina Street: shares the financial capital with its sister street (Broad Street), former and current seat of power in Lagos (State House Marina, Lagos House Marina, Prime Minister's residence, Finance Minister's residence).

6) Admiralty Road, Lekki: trying to take over from Awolowo Road as the street that has the best shops in Lagos.

7) Ahmadu Bello Way: State liaison offices, Bar Beach, Silverbird Cinemas, NTA, etc.

8 ) Nnamdi Azikiwe Street/Balogun Street: Mass market, Nollywood wholesale distribution.

9) Ikorodu Road: Main thoroughfare.

10) Opebi Street: Banks, nightclubs.

Nnamdi Azikiwe street is one of the most popular streets on the island. I wonder why it's not included.

This list can not be complete without almighty MARINA STREET

Lagos o Lagos! As indoors inclined as i am, i have visited Allen Avenue, Toyin street, Ozumba Mbadiwe, Ademola Adetokunbo & Adeola Odeku.

Obafemi Awolowo way, Ikeja should be there but it's more of a passage that a business hub.

Allen Avenue's popularity is due to the fact that it's the number 1 business hub in Lagos Mainland and second in the entire Lagos after Broad street. It seems a little bit more popular than broad street in my opinion but is not as important as Broad street because Broad street is the financial capital of Nigeria and West Africa.

Nnamdi Azikiwe and Oba Akran deserve to be on the list.

Denn: Lagos should be a sovereign explicitly different from the other parts of Nigeria.

Things are different here and some other states can only envy.

Despite Abuja being the FCT, there is hardly any sane state governor that doesn't visit Lagos at least once every quarter.

Nice list but they look Elitist to me. Some known streets dat are popular but does not acomodate the rich are not there. Eg Modupe Johnson street. Akerele etc.
