This is Haden Prison in Norway; a country where prisons focus on rehabilitation rather than harsh punishment. The result is a society with far less repeat offenders, a much smaller prison community and far less crime overall. Here we see one of the prison's living rooms; a group of cells of about 10 to 12 share a living room and kitchen. Pretty sweet digs.

Guards undergo two years of training at an officers’ academy and learn to motivate the inmates by eating meals and playing sports with prisoners. Half of all guards are female.

The kitchen is clean and bright, where inmates not only eat but can participate in all aspects of the meal.

I remember a friend telling me a story of how an illegal niggur deliberately stole from a shop at Amsterdam. Police chased and caught up with him, retrieved the items (female undies ), and let the guy go free. Niggur wanted free meals and healthcare in prison meyn!

When will Nigeria become a country with dignity? Every leader that has ruled in my generation has failed. Every aspect of the country is a failure. The roads are terrible, the power is nothing to write home about, pensioners are dying due to queuing for their rightful payment, social welfare is a failure too, child protection is unheard of, healthcare service is dead, public schools have to tables and teachers beg students for money, even to the point of water, I mean common drinking water is like gold in this country. When will we grow, when will we learn, when will things improve? They say eko o ni baje, 9ja o ni baje but can a dead man die again? Eko ti baje tipe tipe, 9ja ti baje lati Yoruba wo fun leadership fun awon oshi Nigerian leaders.

More than half of Nigerians will look at the pictures above and their jaws will drop because to them its luxury when in reality its just an average standard of living in NORMAL COUNTRIES where NORMAL LEADERS do NORMAL THINGS for their country and citizens. Nigeria is a failed thing, I can't even call it a country. USA is a country, Ireland is a country, China is a country, even South Africa is a country but Nigeria...... May God judge us.

How did we become this people who will look at prisons and then envy it or prefer it to our living homes?our government don fail us sha.

Did These "inmates" engage in kindness instead of mass killings, self sacrifice instead of stealing,or humanitarian works instead of homicide to deserve to be thrown in here?

This is what exactly a prison should look like....
A correctional facility where, people are modeled and given a chance to learn how to become better, on the outside life soon as they're released.

Not the hardened life places like Kirikiri make you become. Nigerians learn!

Nevertheless, No Place Like Home.

Norway is one of the top three most tolerant and peaceful nation on earth.The govt has given its citizen confidence in not just the country but themselves.The govt gives back to the people than it takes.When I saw the money the amount of money saved from oil,I froze and asked,Why Nigeria?What happened to you?

These prisons are built to show that the convicted are there to be rehabilitated and not tortured or just placed in captivity and isolation.They are treated like humans and not monsters.

Long live Norwegia.
