IBB, Igbinedion and Audu strategize
Former military president, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, yesterday had a closed-door meeting with former governors of Edo and Kogi states, Chief Lucky Igbinedion and Abubakar Audu, respectively.
The duo, who arrived Babangida’s Minna Hilltop Mansion at about 11:30am, went straight into the General’s office, where they exchanged pleasantries.

Speaking with Daily Sun after the more than one hour meeting, Igbinedion said he was in the residence of the retired General to invite him for his father’s birthday.
“I came to pay a courtesy call on our former president and to officially invite him for my father’s 80th birthday coming up on September 11. We had fruitful discussions,” Igbinedion said.
Asked if the visit was not for political consultation, the two-term Edo governor answered in the negative, stressing that he was on a private and personal visit.
“Not at all. Nothing to do with politics. This is just a personal and private visit. Personal and private,” he said.
