Are we living in the End Times? Could events of the past days, today or tommorrow— signify that the Rapture and Tribulation could occur during our generation?

Yes ,we are definitely living in the end times. But no one can say when rapture will take place because no one knows the ways of God.

How else can you explain all the high rates of natural disasters,wars and rumour of wars, famines, high sexual immorality( imagine lesbians and homosexuals marrying ), murders and all the other evils happening in the world?

We've always had wars...

People have been killing people since forever...

Homosexuals have been around since the beginning of time...

Meaning that there have been paranoid scaremongers since the dawn of man kind claiming that we are all doomed to meet a horrible death, en masse...And they've often used the reasons listed as the cause, 'signs'...

I'm trying to take this discussion seriously, but in all honesty, it's a struggle...


In short, if the reasons listed were really indications of the coming of the end of the Earth then none of us would be here now...

Many of those signs the Bible talked about have been happening. Yes it's been happening before now, but the rate of its occurence now is very alarming. And the signs are proving to be real these days. The Bible talked about the whole world spending the same currency. Things are fast moving along this way. (Euros). The Organisation of African Unity now AU is considering having a comon currency. Every piece of those information is fast coming together to form a whole.

Scripturally Its not the events per say but the drastic increase in their occurence that signifies the endtime.
Sure we are livin in the end times but when rapture will take place is not for anybody to predict.
Just play safe. Remember if u die today..thats your own rapture.

I agree with vexxy. we've been in the last days since creation. It's only that the realisation or the fulfillment of the prediction is fast acting itself out these days.

Reading Matthew 24, and observing the prophecies of Daniel coming to pass leaves one in no doubt that we're in the end times.

Well, obviously every day we endure is another day closer to the end;  of our own personal life or the Earth as a planet...

I'm pretty sure that cases of murder were a lot higher in the medieval ages than they are now...

I'm also pretty sure that there have been times when war has been a way of life in contrast with today's world...(look at any period around the time of the collapse of an empire)

Famine was much more of a problem worldwide in say the 17th century than it is now...

And in ancient Greece homosexuals were revered, and not simply 'tolerated' as they are today...

I'm just asking for facts here; people keep talking about things (that supposedly happened/are happening) without backing them up with facts...

Nostradamus said the world was going to end, in 2000...

Countless others have said the world was due to end prior and they've all been proved wrong...now of course we know the world will come to an end but the (so called) 'signs' listed are nothing of the sort...

Most people take the Bible and all other sacred books for their literal meaning.

Mt. Vesuvius erupted and killed thousands, it did not bring the end of the world, hummanity has been facing one or two man made or natural disater since the creation of this world, still it has not come to her end.

We now know that flooding is/are been caused as a result of global warming, most of the so called disasters are man made. Still we say they are "signs" of the end time.

Talking about these "signs" is trying to predict the future through "mediums", a practice which the Bible frowns at.

If most of the people on this thread know the amount chaos that has been going on in outer space they will pity those "people/aliens" that might be on these planets.

Humanity/civilazations can only distroy herself, this has happened and it will countinue to happen.

Instantaneous worldwide communication (Revelation 11:9-10)
Explosion in knowledge in the last days - electronic knowledge doubling every six months (Daniel 12:4)
Jerusalem - a source of worldwide contention (Zechariah 12:2-3)
A peace process in the middle east with many nations involved (Daniel 9:27), with the issue of land at its very heart (Daniel 11:39)
The Jewish Temple ready for rebuilding, and sacrifices resuming (Daniel 9:27)
A decline in the moral behaviour of society (2 Timothy 3:1-5)
Terrible catastrophes and natural devastation increasing (Luke 21:25-26)

Please!!! nobody knows jack, every cult, religion and crazy lunatic has predicted the end of the world since the begining of time.
We don't even know the reason why we are here on this rock, we don't even know if life exists in other parts of the universe, and yet we delude ourselves that we know the world will end soon

And for those who keep quoting Bible passages to support this argument lets not forget that the same Bible claims that the earth is flat and the Bible also never mentions anything about other planets in the universe.
