Hi Oga.

I buy data in my 2 phones monthly. Will i do away with the data? Is it sim card based or modem dependent? Almost all GSM network ISP arent doing well at my end. Will this take care of them?

Why must we call you? Why don't you just reveal all here or rather provide a link where we can all benefit?

Im happy to read this from you. Now you see I'm not a pessimist. It makes a lot of sense, but very expensive. You'll end up spending close to 13k a month. Why not buy DSTV?

God will help us

I have DSTV. I barely watch it. It is wack. DSTV is just contemplating airing "Empire" and I have finished Season 1 and waiting for Season 2. Honestly, I have spent 32K on data from April till date. However, the high cost is because I have two (2) ISPs. I believe this cost will go down if I just settle for one ISP. On the other hand, I am enjoying the channel content and movies on Kodi. I sleep late these days because of it. Picture and sound quality is just great.

IPTV makes you feel like you have control over your television contents and you can choose what and how you watch these contents but it comes with a price. I believe it would only get better.

I would love those fancy big satellite dishes, but I don't want weird stares from people at least till I own my house.

I'm sorry but is it something hidden that cant be publicized? Then it would not last just like the dongles. If no cheat is involved mention it here . GLO< ETISALAT AIRTEL, MTN, swift 4g, spectranet, smaile 4g, IPNX, Cool link etc. Which other other one is a PVN?

Davodyguy no doubt comparing IPTV here and DSTV..DSTV is better. But when you talk about rich content I think I will prefer to pay 14K and know that I am watching what I like,When I like and it's not compulsory man must watch TV d whole day..

Hi Folks, my MXIII has arrived and I have installed it. Well, little difference with what I have posted from my laptop. Don't know if I should repeat the review again. I tried taking pictures with my phone but it was a bit dark due to the wallpaper I have behind the TV. I will try taking pictures with camera when I am less excited cos I am at the moment.

On TV, it makes use of the TV resolution, very sharp and sound quality is cool. I am enjoying it. Now I just have to worry about data. I wish to state that the MXIII does not come with the latest XBMC which is Kodi, so I had to install it. It is also funny that I can browse with my TV - it made me laugh, seeing nairaland on a big screen. The adds-on especially Genesis and IPTV Stalker are just so cool.

Thanks guys, especially Emma and Davo. I appreciate you guys. Now I resumed back to TV.

That's why I said, as a back up, IPTV makes sense. If one has money, he/she may not care about paying 14k to DSTV monthly, cos they make a lot of sense in terms of general entertainment, rich in local and African contents. You get to watch BBA, see Ghana talk shows, like that of Joselyn Dumas, watch all the best soap opera in tinsel, hotel majestic, calabash etc. DSTV makes a lot of sense, but at a heavy price. I tried the kodi IPTV for 30mins and 300mb was gone. I need 90mins per Saturday and Sunday times four weeks. If you add mid week matches to that list, then you'll be needing 100giga bite a month. What's the price of 100g? its even more than DSTV's 13k. So, IPTV comes in when DSTV isn't given what I want.

NB

This discourse is based on the legal aspect of IPTV vs DSTV and not dongle related, that's why I can freely mention DSTV.

Anything illegal means of viewing DSTV is suspended in this context

etisalat not working on Qsat
Glo works well at my end

I think its only Airtel and Glo that works well on 11, 13 and 15 series.

23,26 and 28 accepts all networks
You don't need more than edge network to connect your Qsat to server. Other network speed like 3g, HSDPA and HSDPA+ are advantages.

use WiFi instead

Cost of MXIII Android TV is about N19k. Shipping is N5k. Total landing cost was N24k. Not bad right. If not for data cost, I would even advise my enemy to get it. The picture quality is just so remarkable. I am currently watching the hobbits - battle of the five armies. I guess DSTV would show the movie in September 2015.

The IPTV thing is quite cool. You only need access to an unlimited data bandwidth and you'll be a very happy man. I think this is the future - premium content on demand.

Use the daily BIS plan for 100 bucks, works really well.
