Internet browsing and connectivity in Nigeria just became more accessible and easily affordable to almost all Nigerians. Previously in the country the major internet service providers included the CDMA, V-sat and the GSM companies, now you too can own your own mini-ISP leveraging on existing Technological facilities within the country and our technical expertise.

HOW DOES THIS WORK The GPRS facility available on most GSM phones provides the platform for you to get online and browse speedily and with much liberty compared to other Internet service providers available in the country. However you will be requiring a software that will link your phone with the company's servers globally. You will be effectively linked to servers in Asia, USA, Canada and Europe among others. The package works with both Laptops and Desktop computers (pc's) and users have unique accounts created and dedicated to them with user ID's and passwords. This service can be used at home, at the Office, Schools, Cyber cafes etc.    WHAT YOU NEED TO START BROWSING To maximize this internet connection you need to acquire a GSM sim card, a GPRS (Global Packet Radio Service) enabled phone that comes with its installation software CD and packet data cable or purchase a Shark pod which serves as a modem. A quality shark pod ranges from N27, 000 to N30,000 per item while Nokia phones are very compatible with this software and are affordable ranging from N10,000 to N20,000 for fairly used phones to brand new ones. Nokia 3110, 3110c, 6230, 5200 and all Nokia phones that can be used as a modem are compatible with the software. Most of these phones can be purchased at phones sales outlets nationwide for at least N15,000. You do not need to pay so much for a modem since your phone can serve as a modem.   

EXISTING PACKAGES There are four existing packages available to subscribers and they include:  a)    The free 64kbps packageWith this package you can configure and browse immediately for free for up to 36 hours within a week. This has its own drawbacks however we will show you how to do this.   

b)    The 256kbps bundle package With this package subscribers are entitled to 24 hours unhindered browsing at 256 kilo bytes per second. A speed far faster than what obtains from the pre existing internet service providers in the country.     

c) The 4MB bundle package This 24 hour unhindered package is recommended for Offices, hospitals, Organizations etc which all have need for very fast internet browsing for the running of their day to day business.   

d) The Unlimited bundle packageThis 24 hour bundle package is recommended for schools, cyber cafes, institutions and Business offices that require many people to be online simultaneously. It can connect up to 20 systems conveniently.

PACKAGE FLEXIBILITY Once you get connected there are no restrictions or limitations to packages (ie) you can upgrade from free package to the Unlimited bundle package or choose to downgrade to any of the available packages on a monthly basis as you so desire. This makes it very convenient financially.     ADVANTAGES The advantages are too numerous to exhaust. However its high connectivity rate, cost effectiveness and affordability distinguish it from the CDMA and VSAT internet connections provided in the country.   Also once you acquire the technical know how of how to install the package on your system you can start configuring and installing it for clients at a fee thus creating a new stream of income. Imagine installing for fifty people at N10,000 per installation, which will fetch half a million Naira for you. When you begin to realize that we have an estimated 45 million GSM sim card users a majority of which are in need of internet connection services then you will begin to see the money earning potential in this product. 

REQUIREMENTS To configure it, you need little computer usage knowledge, a compatible GSM phone, a GSM sim card, a packet data cable, plus the subscription fee of the intended package.  CONCLUSION The GSM internet service provision is still a virgin area that has not yet been exploited to its full potentials in the country. This opportunity can easily be grabbed and turned into a money making venture.
