The Lion in the picture goes by Neil. In the 1970’s the lion lived with the family of a Hollywood actress named Tippi Hedren. The Lion can be seen in the picture relaxing in their house without any form of restriction. The animal was as well seen playing with Tippi Hendren’s then 13 years old daughter Melanie Griffth. Looking back now with all these pictures Tippi Hedren now believed that they made a very big mistake staying with the animal even to the extent of allowing the beast to play with their daughter.

According to Tom Leonard of Mailonline While her family were never harmed by Neil, one night he attacked his owner Ron Oxley during a dinner party for British guests at their home.

The pair ‘battled it out’ for dominance in the kitchen, with the lion snarling and batting at the man with a huge paw. Oxley tried to regain control by raising his hands and arms threateningly.

Neil eventually tossed his head and mane in surrender, making subdued muttering noises, and the pair marched out of the house.

This lion was exceptionally gentle, so they had a nice time with him. Due to their lovely experience with this gentle lion they decided to adopt more lions and shoot a film about lions. Unfortunately, the other lions were not so gentle. They mauled many of the film crew members.
