Hassan al-Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, 68 yrs, is the 29th and current Sultan and Prime Minister of Brunei, a South-East Asian country rich in oil which accounts for 90% of its GDP.
He came into power in 1967 when his father abdicated or gave up power to the throne.
Like his father, he has been knighted by Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom. Brunei was a British protectorate until 1984.

Why is he referred to as the man who can do no wrong?
In 2006, Brunei’s constitution was rewritten to declare that the Sultan “can do no wrong in either his personal or any official capacity.”

He’s been married to three wives and divorced two; with his three wives he has five children. Whenever he divorces his wives, he strips them of all titles, honours, and monthly allowances.
In 2012, he gave his daughter, 32, out in marriage in a lavish 14-day ceremony.

The Sultan is known for his high taste and love for extreme luxury and for all that glitters. He’s gold-plated virtually everything possible!
He lives in the world’s largest residential palace that boasts 1,800 rooms, including 257 bathrooms.
He has one of the world's largest and most expensive and rarest car collections...

Ridiculous, if I'm asked.

I love his taste for luxury though. It reminds me of a particular mythical king with hands laced with gold-turning capability . Anything he touches turns gold.

But saying he can do no wrong is a statement rooted in the most stupifying root of stupidity.
