don't try belgium; infact, for example, TUT will advice you not to do so due to previous hardship faced by students. Try india or egypt.

How do u mean by previous hardship students faced? Are u saying Belgium dont give out visa?

I just received this mail from Estonia concerning obtaining Belgium visa:

"Please note that Belgium embassy will not issue visa for study purposes, only for tourism. Therefore they will require you to present return flight tickets and hotel booking for the travel period"

I think it is a negative indication.

The return ticket which is a requirement for Belgium visa costs about 162,000 Naira.
Re: Lets Talk About Estonia by chimaamaechi17: 12:27pm On May 19, 2015
To be sincere wit u, l av 3 options, which ar Belgium, India nd Turkey. I'm thinking of Belgium bec it is d cheapest. But if we av to analyse it critically, since one must pay for return ticket via Belgium route, it is almost d same wit oda options. My advice for u is to create options for ursef... Factually also, Belgium route takes time even beyond ur imagination... I av options which l can fall back at... I have filled my visa application form for Belgium nd l intend filling for India nd Turkey tomorrow... Dey ar wot l meant by creating options. At d end of d day, l shall come up wit my decision of which route to go... Mind u, since dia is no Estonian embassy in Nigeria, u must pay for a return ticket in any routes u ar going tru... I know u wil make it...

Quick question for a student going for undergraduate.

For Indian visa, which visa category needs to be applied for, entry visa?
And what are the requirements apart from
1. Original passport valid for a minimum of 6 months (or for the validity requested, if greater)
2. A photocopy of the data page of the passport
3. Two photographs of the size of 50mm X 50mm i.e. 2 inch x 2 inch with light background
Photos should be glued on your forms in the box provided on pages 1 and 2 of the online form.
4. Visa application form duly filled in online _
Your form should be signed in the box under the photograph on page 1 and at the end of page-2. Your signatures should match with the signature printed on your passport.

For Estonian Embassy in India, when getting appointment, which of the required services needs to be selected...Application for visa or Other proceedings - Application for Resident permit (mind you, this is not temporary resident permit)

Thank you.

At last, people are contributing seriously. @ Janetbb, as u are applying for Belgium, try and book india appointment. It would serve as plan B.
Statistically, the rate at which india and Egypt grants tourist visa to Nigerians is higher than that of Belgium.

1.yes, entry visa

2. supporting documents including letter of admission, proof of hotel book in India(not really important, you can just add it), bank statement of account- if you have a substantial amount you can use it. else, use a sponsor(family or guardian).
caveat: please avoid money lodgement, especially if you intend using your account!

if you are using a sponsor, you will need to get a letter of sponsorship which will be signed by your sponsor cum an affidavit to this effect. also, the statement of account must carry the address of the sponsor.

avail any document that will convince the consular/interviewer......................

if you are going for a bachelor degree...research well and inquire at the India High Commission if you will need to authenticate your WAEC/NECO/SSCE document. if yes, you can only do this in Abuja at Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Hope this piece is helpful.

@SQ26

Going to India to get Estonia Visa . We do not seem to fall into any of these categories below:

ENTRY VISA

Entry visa is generally issued in the following cases:

i) a person of Indian origin; spouse and children of a person of Indian national or origin;
ii) dependent of a person holding an Employment visa;
iii) applicant seeking visa for Auroville Foundation;
iv) applicant seeking admission in yoga, Vedic culture or Indian systems of dance and music;
v) applicant, who has purchased property in India with the approval of Reserve Bank of India and registered his/her property in India.
vi) Members of sports teams and sports persons
vii) Applicants travelling to India under ITEC or any other Government of India Scholarship Programme.
Re: Lets Talk About Estonia by SQ26: 6:13pm On May 25, 2015
hello antie, forget about these caveats:
you need to select 'entry visa'...wouldn't like to go into details for now...also, for your duration of stay in india - select 1 month. infact they wouldnt give you more than that.

goodluck!

go for your choice. read the pertinent airlines terms and conditions. although return ticket is always cheaper irrespective of the airline.

Not a problem my friend. It means reserving your intended travel plan but it wont be paid for. You can schedule the ticket, put in your information but at the point where they ask for payments, choose hold reservation but most times the airlines only hold for 24-48 hours but some airlines hold for 1 week for a small fee of 7$.

Return ticket means to and fro ticket
one way ticket means only to or only fro
I hope i made it clear enough.

Thanks
