When i say lagging updates i was actually referring to breaking news of national interest or any other important news.

Its so annoying that some news make front-page days after it must have been read in many other online fora.

Nairaland still remains the best interactive forum but in terms of informative as regards important news release i believe Seun has some work to do in that aspect.

The forum has no paid journalists and I'm 100% sure the admin would never entertain the idea of paying freelance journalists; he enjoys the path of least expenses. Waiting for days before big headlines hit the frontpage gives the admin wiggle room ensuring the information is accurate and not a rumour. Even with the protocol in place many times have passed where outright lies and misinformation graced the frontpage as fact.
