When moving a site from one host to another, apart from the site going off most times, is it possible for the domain to display blank page with ads on it coz what i am seeing is a little bit different. Please i need ur reply asap

What you can do is this:

When transferring your files from the former host to another host and u want to achieve what you just said above, transfer your files to another directory, e.g public_html/tempsite
Then on the root of your site which is the public_html folder, write and index html file.
Name it index.html.
Then put your code inside the file. So once your domain is been visited, your ads shows up. Then when true transferring your files to the temp folder or what name u give to the folder, move the whole folder contents to the root, but first delete the index.html file you created earlier.
