Over the years, the city of Lagos has gained massive popularity as the business hub of Nigeria, and also as an international city. Some even call it the "New York City" of Nigeria due to its many similarities to the Big Apple.
Well, those people just might just be right because the ever-busy city has been featured in the latest version of the popular computer/video game, Call of Duty.
A new game in the series is titled, Call of Duty: Advance Warfare, and was officially released on November 3, 2014.
In this latest version, the game's main character is seen making his way through Lagos on a new mission. He is seen passing by roads that look strikingly similar to the city, and there are signs that read "Surulere" and "Keep Lagos Clean."
We also get to see the trooper standing on a bridge overlooking a busy road that looks like Maryland, with vehicles zooming past, including a yellow Lagos bus (popularly called Danfo). Well, what more can we say? Nigeria is going places!
Call of Duty is based on the Quake III Arena engine and was first released on October 29, 2003. It was developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision.
The game simulates the infantry and combined arms warfare of World War II. It follows the American paratroopers, British paratroopers and the Red army.
