Today while searching some posts regarding 25th anniversary of the Berlin Wall's demolition I found this fantastic post about the Berlin Wall. According to the article, "There was a gap between two walls which was filled by sand and gravel while beds of nails were also placed between this gap. It was very difficult to cross this gap and several people died by the firing of guards in this gap. This gap was known as the “Strip of Death.”
