MDX is meant to be a step, if not two steps above the Pilot, considering that the MDX is a luxury CUV.

If you decide to go with the MDX, I would advice that you go for s year not later than 2004.

The 2001 to 2003 models, though relatively reliable, are plagued with transmission issues. This problem was solved largely from 2004.

The MDX is a good and reliable ride any day but your choice of a vehicle to buy should be directed at meeting your needs.

It would be wasteful to buy a vehicle you do not need. Personally, I purchased a 2005 MDX after an extensive research, from which I decided that the vehicle I need is a CUV and smongst CUV's the MDX comes highly recommended.

Do a research on the various vehicles. You may realize that what you need may just be some other vehicle apart from the ones your eyes are on at the moment.

Don't allow individual biased opinions make you choose what you may end up not needing.

A choice between unleaded regular fuel and premium unleaded fuel only. Nigeria officially uses regular unleaded fuel and the Pilot is very comfortable with the fuel but for Acura, premium fuel only, not sometimes, only and please ask the MDX owners how many times they have fixed their transmissions and also goggle the effect of using low octane fuel on an Acura. flee from wahala or get Octane boosters to remedy it.

Please like the other young man has said, do a research about the type of cars you want to buy and then go for it. But he rightly said that for an MDX its better you go for 2004 upwards, I think he is very right too. And just for any of those toyota enthusiasts, if you think toyotas don't have gear issues too, then your joking.
