That is what we need now.we need to plan today before its too late.
Oment5:
We should dredge both azumini river and river niger now that we still one 9ja.
We seriously need a functional port at both abia state and anambra state.

The Airport that igbos contributed their hard earned money to build in the 80s is now one of the busiest in the country , busier than the Airports that the federal government built with oil money , if igbos contribute and build a sea port in Aba , it would go ahead and be the busiest sea port in Africa considering the nature of business igbos do and the proximity to the cities of Aba, Enugu ,Nnewi and Onitsha . Igbos who are doing business in hostile territories can relocate to the east to find new opportunities and start life again , if the generation of Mbakwe did not build the owerri Airport one can only imagine the difficulties and the number of life that could have been lost on roads going to find the nearest airports to travel.

Just as the airport employs thousands of people directly and indirectly the seaport would employ millions directly and indirectly and open the eastern business climate to international businesses and bring down the price of imported goods.

The victimization that igbos currently face in Ladipo would immediately change to begging and pleadings

Noble suggestion by Energito. Ndiigbo had never lacked funds to develop Igboland, what we had lacked for decades now are selfless visionary leaders burning with the desire to put Igboland on the world map. Only such leaders could once again activate the sort of contributory sacrifice for communal development that is inherent in the Igbo genes, that would be required to get that sea port built.

really! if you checked no body would use the rickety yellow scraps with black stripes called taxis driven by lazy, frustrated retards , no body would pay outrageous sums of money to some lazy bones whose only achievement is that he inherited a disused building from his late mother who built the shanty from proceeds of agbo and bread sales.

The same 2 x 2 shops employ more people and generate more revenue than the thousands of rickety yellow scraps with black stripes called taxis driven by never do well and retards

there will not be use comparing Enugu Intl Airport with the joke built with Niger delta oil money in Ibadan , Akure and Illorin whose only purpose is to convey muslims to Mecca.

The Airport is booming with flights , just within a year another airline of repute the turkish airline is joining the route , as the move to open visa offices and consular offices in the east yields fruits the flight traffic will be expected to scale up from the present 26,000 within a year to more than 100,000 .
if Ebo population is inconsequential how come igbos control Ladipo , Alaba, festac, computer village and are threatening to take over Lekki

Stealing is not corruption and corruption in Nigeria is only perception not reality. If anyone merely steals the money, we will vote for him again... and who knows, in his second term he may build the seaport for us to international standards and may also build a 3rd Niger bridge too... lipsrsealed

But during jonathan declaration for second term he said he had dredge river niger from barro to warri, with a lot cargo transported on it and i remember he commission onitsha port. At least they should utilise and maintain that one first.

21.My administration has successfully completed the dredging of the lower River Niger from Baro in Niger State to Warriin in Delta State. The cheering news is that over 6.7 million passengers and over 1.6 million tonnes of cargo have been moved through this channel in less than three years.

22.I am happy to also report that our ports now operate 24 hour service, which has led to the reduction of clearing time and improved efficiency.
