How Every Igbo Men And Women Can Help Abia State Build Seaport. by Energito: 4:44pm On Nov 12, 2014 |
Yes after listening to my beloveed daughter yesterday,i have come to understatand that she really care for all igbos. This is what she said: Dad how do you feel spending one week or so before your container getting cleared in logos seaport?Dad i feel ashamed that Igbos cant build a seaport of their own,for how long can we wait for govt to build one for us?i have said this before and i will say it again GEJ HAS not done anything for south east not to talk of my people Anioma.mention one thing he has done to my brothers in south east.DaD i mean well for all igbos.now back to what i was saying,DAD this is how we can help abia state build our own seaport. Dad building our may be expensive but with spirit of all igbos both men and women we can do it.Dad we have rich men and women in igboland i believe if every governor, senators, house of rep, govt workers, importers and exporters, all igbo groups in abroad, market men and women and even students like me donate money for this project i believe we can build it. Dad let me clear you.look at this if all the five south east states donate 1B each that is 5B. If all the govs donate 50m each on their own that is 250m. If all the igbo senator including Anioma(18) donate 15m each that is 270 if all the igbos in house of rep including Aniomas( 31) donate 10m each that is 310m if all the members of state house donate 5m each well i dont know how many they are. If all our business men and women like ibeto and others donate money on this project. If all igbos in abroad. If all the market men and womeon donate on this. If all the students donate on this no matter how small it is. I believe if all igbos we have this spirit like me nomatter hard and pain we can build our own seaport dad. 13 Likes 1 Share |

But we have a president in Nigeria , if they cannot use the money derive from the sale of crude oil from the southeast state to built important infrastructure here, they should allow us drill the oil ourself and develope our land. 5 Likes |

Stevnwgw is very much correct but in the absence of that Ndigbo should invoke the gifted self-help ability they're known for to tackle the problem. Just as Energito rightly suggested. Even at that, the powers that have continued to block such an infrastructure in the SE might still find a way to frustrate it. It's worth trying sha. Even as the proposed location in Abia state is less nautical miles to the sea than Port Harcourt. It's looking real that Jonathan might run away with all the promises made to our people. 4 Likes |

This is nt abt tribe. But i dont think contribution of money can work in nigeria irrespective of ur tribe. I live in southwest. There was a day we contributed money in my area to get a new transformer. After realising abt #800,000 frm the contribution the chairman of the landlord and landlady association embezzle the money. The funniest thing is that he naws enjoy police security and nobody can challege him |

The contribution model worked in the construction of Owerri airport, it worked for several small and big community development projects, it works in Igbo land. 2 Likes |

One of the busiest seaports in the world is a River port called the Philadelphia Regional port. The Philadelphia River port is 100 kilometers inland on the Delaware River. The Obuaku River port in Abia State is only 40 kilometers inland on the Imo River. So if people really want this port built, it will be very viable. See satellite locations below. 2 Likes

We should dredge both azumini river and river niger now that we still one 9ja. We seriously need a functional port at both abia state and anambra state. |
