Typing RIP won't change anything. Let us charge the government to live up to their duty by providing arms ammuinition for our soldiers and officers to defend us.
Agreed. Am a supporter of GEJ but he must be charged especially this period of election so that he will not be carried aways because of campaign especially considering the deadly nature of apc propaganda. Apc can comfortably incite as many people as possible to cause trouble because of their dangerious propaganda. GEJ, please acquire more deadly arms and face these boko haram. If need be let have talk with apc to temporarily replace the civilian governors and with Military man as governor. But apc is usually happy if the boko haram wins and kill more Nigerians. That is the major issue. It is their major achievement since it is thier campaign point. No anniversary of apc passes without thier members jubilating. In fact it is their number one point against GEJ. Once a community is taken over or many people killed in a local area, oh God, the apc members jump to the heighest heavens in joy. That is the irony of it all. God dey sha.

Rubbish! The question I asked is supposed to make any right thinking person inquisitive: Why do our soldiers perform creditably while on the UN mission, but perform badly within Nigeria?

First, "right thinking" people don't resort to abuses when their opinion is being tested against empirical evidence. That aside, can you draw up a typical UN mission war plan? can you compare with our local war plan against the insurgents? Are the geography of those two same? the environment? the enemy? their tactics? I need clear unambiguous answers to the above questions not abuses? thank you...

The command and staff college, Jaji was bombed

The Airforce base, Maiduguri was bombed etc etc

What has changed since he left? People speaking from both sides of their mouth

Have you asked yourself why our soldiers, while on UN peacekeeping mission do well; but when defending their country (like the ongoing war with Boko Haram) perform badly? Is it that they are not petriotic? Have you asked yourself if the UN arms them better?

Peace keeping is different from war

APC found themselves on the defence in this. PDP started gaining political advantage from BH when they went to town painting Buhari and other members as sponsors of BH. Till tomorrow most Nigerians so closely hold unto this horrible allegation and get cheap sympathy for GEJ. What goes around comes around. It's not easy being opposition in Nigeria where all instruments of state intimidation are in the hands of the ruling government including billions of Naira. In fact opposition is a crime in this clime especially with Okupe, Reuben Abati and Reno Omokri just to mention a few on the prowl.

RIP brave soldier. You shall never hear any disturbing gunshot again.

Question: What currency do boko haramites use in their captured territories? is it our Nigerian naira or Boko riyal?

Johnson you are a fool. How dare you compare multinational peace keeping missions with boko haram insurgency.
Were they able to defeat the ND militants right here at home? We all know boko haram is even more brutal and blood thirsty that they were.
Most of boko haram's sophsicated weapons were gotten from the same ''poorly armed'' soldiers.

You dey mind that guy.
How can somebody compare peace keeping were u. Don't fire ur rifle atimes to insurgency.

It's beyond arms. A Nigerians soldier dies while protecting her country and that's all. It ends there, check out good countries. You will be glad u joined the army cos you know once you leave, the family would always be remembered hence the soldiers fighting with all their strength if it's for UN

I think it is rather unfair to "mourn" or "heroise" only the ranking officers... no one hears about the "no/low rank" officers that die.. they are also HEROES

In force there is what they call RULES OF ENGAGEMENT. You said it all, UN sends men to keep peace and Naija soldiers are faced with war operation, so different RULES OF ENGAGEMENT yet UN looses men in uniform in such peacekeeping operations.

But I was expecting you to tell us that US that has the best army does not loose men in wars.

Did you say PETRIOTIC? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm!
