When Lieutenant Gen Ihejirika was dealing with boko_haram seriously and mercilessly some of d northern elders shouted genocide, bt nw dat d table has turned around its now Jonathan

Ihejirika was not dealing with BH, but he had a deal them (BH) , he was murdering innocent people extrajudicially and communities have the right to complain.

They were very much right because as you very well know he , the same ihejirika , was pointed out by the Australian Reverend Davies as the supplier of weapons to Boko haram.

Have you asked yourself why our soldiers, while on UN peacekeeping mission do well; but when defending their country (like the ongoing war with Boko Haram) perform badly? Is it that they are not petriotic? Have you asked yourself if the UN arms them better?
sharrrraup bro, during cross fire any person can go down, not matter of arm.besides we already apply for arms

Do you how many US service men and women alone not to recall other Nato Troops that died in Iraq and Afghanistan? Or is it cos malicious western media refuses to report it?

Rubbish! So you justify the killing of our soldiers by Boko Haram because it is common for soldiers to be killed in war? You are confused.

You sound as if our troop don't shoot or even kill the BH. Do you even have a member of your family at the Armed Forces serving in the North East?

Rubbish!

a little education for you bro. Azubuike Ihejirika was the COAS when:

The UN building, Abuja was bombed

The Police HQ, Abuja was bombed

The command and staff college, Jaji was bombed

The Airforce base, Maiduguri was bombed etc etc
Am nt here to blame anyone but rather to sympathise with a fallen hero,he has played his part and may God console his family.
But this point must be made straight, the North are nt being honest to this country called Nigeria,Ihejirika did a yoeman's job while at the helm of affairs of the Nigerian Army,he matched the Islamic terrorists, man for man, blood for blood, then they powers that be in the north, rised against him for brutally suppressing they terrorists, they said he was being too bloody, that in some instances rather than arresting the boko boys,he opted to waste them,he took no prisoners!
Today, every other Army chief treads with caution because of the volatility of the North and they are learning from Ihejirika's supposed mistakes inother to retain their job!Today territories are lost to they terrorist cause you never can tell if the North will take you to ICC for human rights violation when you kill their prodigal sons who are boko haram members.
Never in the history of Nigeria have we heard of any region taking service chiefs to ICC even in cases of obvious human right violations but now the North for first time has been on the recieving end and they quickly ran to ICC....dont forget the Biafran Genocide,Asaba massacre,Odi ethnic cleansing,Katsina-Ala(Benue)mass murder etc why now the core North? or are we no longer interested in this union called Nigeria!!!

It's beyond arms. A Nigerians soldier dies while protecting her country and that's all. It ends there, check out good countries. You will be glad u joined the army cos you know once you leave, the family would always be remembered hence the soldiers fighting with all their strength if it's for UN
You are hardly remembered if you die for Nigeria. Fact. Nigeria can't even account for of its dead soldiers. Go to the United States, there are war memorials. There is the Vietname Veterans Memorial. On the walls are the names of the Americans who died during the war inscribed.
There is the National World War II Memorial with 56 pillars.
There is the Korean War Veterans Memorial.
There is the Arlington National Cemetery where war veterans are buried. This is also the place where the late President J. F. Kennedy and his wife are buried.
Somebody once said that if you compare the ECOMOG section of Atan Cemetery, Yaba with Arlington in the United States, you will hate to die for Nigeria.
The names of the memorials I gave you are the ones in Washington DC and Virginia.

Whynotthetruth:

First, "right thinking" people don't resort to abuses when their opinion is being tested against empirical evidence. That aside, can you draw up a typical UN mission war plan? can you compare with our local war plan against the insurgents? Are the geography of those two same? the environment? the enemy? their tactics? I need clear unambiguous answers to the above questions not abuses? thank you...
Keep giving excuses for the government.

If the US fail to sell arms to us, must it take us months to buy arms from other countries? We are in a war for God's sake. Do you insist on buying maggi for your soup that is almost cooked when there are other seasonings like royco, agino moto, suppy, etc which you can easily use? Must Nigeria sacrifice the lives of our soldiers just to make the world see that the US failed to sell arms to us?
