Pets › Re: Why Millipedes Keep Appearing In Your Chameleon Cage by 1Alex: 12:18pm On May 12 |
mgamelia: I’ve seen this situation before, and honestly, it feels worse than it actually is. You notice one millipede, ignore it, then suddenly… there are more. It almost feels like they’re “multiplying overnight.” But in reality, something simple is happening.
Millipedes love moisture. And your chameleon’s cage? It’s basically paradise for them—humid soil, organic matter, and plenty of hiding spots. Even if you removed visible dead leaves, there’s still microscopic organic material in the soil that they feed on. That’s enough.
Here’s the part most people miss. These bugs usually don’t come from nowhere—they come from the soil itself. If you’ve ever added plants, substrate, or even decorations, there’s a good chance tiny eggs or juveniles came along with it. I’ve personally seen this happen after adding “clean” potting soil.
Now about them escaping. That’s actually a clue. When millipedes start wandering out, it usually means their population inside has grown. They spread out looking for space or new food sources. The good news? They don’t survive long outside because your room is too dry.
What this means for you
It’s annoying, yes. Stepping on them isn’t fun. But it’s not dangerous or “dirty” in the way it feels. They’re actually harmless decomposers.
Still, I get it—I wouldn’t want them crawling around either. Simple fixes like letting the top soil dry slightly, reducing excess moisture, or checking new plants before adding them can make a big difference.
I’ve tested this myself, and once moisture levels drop just a bit, their numbers usually fall fast. 35 percent ai generated. |

Politics › Re: Xenophobia In South Africa, Ghana: Dr. Kayode Omolayo Calls For New Constitution by 1Alex: 7:14am On May 12 |
Ai summary.
The article says rising xenophobic attacks against Nigerians in South Africa and Ghana show deeper problems in Nigeria’s leadership and national structure. 1. Give stronger protection to Nigerians at home and abroad.
2. Create a more accountable and effective government.
3. Reduce ethnic and political division in the country.
4. Strengthen national unity and citizens’ rights.
5. Improve Nigeria’s international image and diplomatic influence.
6. Ensure leaders respond faster to threats against Nigerians in other countries. |

Your answer would be good as mine for you.…..
The only reason any one should be thinking about manua is if you're buying it for pleasure or antique collection. your post shows how naive your are about automobile. Do you think that automatic transmission is a new invention? For your information, automatic transmission is almost as old as manual. |

Business › Re: CBN Fintech Regulations 2026: Licensing & Compliance Guide by 1Alex: 8:14am On May 07 |
Ai explains to a year old
What is happening?
The CBN noticed that:
too much cash moves around without proper checks,
scammers steal money from people,
and some fintech companies grew very fast without strong safety rules.
So the CBN said:
> “If you want to handle people’s money, you must follow stricter rules.”
What are POS agents?
POS agents are the people with small machines in shops where you:
withdraw cash,
send money,
or pay bills.
You see them everywhere in Nigeria.
The new rules make it harder for POS businesses to do unlimited cash withdrawals every week.
That means:
agents may earn less money from cash withdrawals,
and some businesses must change how they work.
Why does the government care?
Think about your piggy bank.
If your friend keeps taking money out without anyone checking, money can get lost or stolen.
The government wants to:
stop fraud,
catch criminals,
and make money apps safer.
What is “APP fraud liability”?
This sounds scary, but it means:
If a scammer tricks you into sending money, the fintech company might also have responsibility to help fix the problem.
Example:
A scammer pretends to be your uncle.
You send ₦20,000.
The fintech should have systems to notice suspicious activity.
If they ignored warning signs, they may have to help repay the money.
What is a licence?
A licence is like permission from the government.
Like:
you need permission to drive a car,
fintechs need permission to handle money.
Without a licence, they are not supposed to run payment or wallet services.
---
What does “compliance” mean?
Compliance means:
> “Following the rules.”
Like following school rules:
wear uniform,
come on time,
do homework.
For fintechs, compliance means:
checking customers properly,
reporting suspicious money,
protecting user data,
and obeying financial laws.
---
Why is this important?
Before, some startups said:
> “Let’s build the app first and worry about rules later.”
Now the CBN is saying:
> “No. Safety and rules must be part of the app from the beginning.”
The big idea in one sentence
The new rules are trying to make money apps in Nigeria safer, less scammy, and more controlled — even if it makes business harder for some fintech companies. |

Romance › Re: Some Bitter Truths You Must Realize As A Man by 1Alex: 3:04pm On May 01 |
Rapmoney: There are some bitter truths that you must realize as a man, and the earlier you acknowledge them, the better it is for you.
1. The only man who wants you to be more successful than him is your father. These truths are not bitter enough.
2. The only women who love you unconditionally are your mother and grandmother.
3. Whenever you see a random girl on the road or elsewhere, and she gives you greenlight, it is out of need and not attraction.
4. Never make either short-term or long-term plans with any woman that you are not married to. She probably has her plans that you do not know of.
5. The same society that tells you to stay away from romantic affairs when you are broke, will still tell you to abstain from cheating when you achieve financial success.
6. You cannot help the poor if you are one of them. Your circle can quickly sell out where you are heading to.
7. Your decisions are very important. They create the future. You already know where poor ones will lead you to.
8. When you start becoming successful in that struggling environment you grew up in, leave immediately for your own safety. A hungry man has no dignity.
9. When you meet a girl's father for the first time, the first thing he wants to know is what you do for a living. Dey play.
10. Don't accept help from people who want to carry you on their back, but your legs are still on the ground. |
