You are right. Onitsha metropolis and outskirt alone should be over 10million people.
The truth is that our people have apathy to government issues post-war.
An average Anambra person don't believe in government institutions.
That is why you have more private institutions flourishing and doing well here as against govt run facilities.

But we still need to grab that money from the government. Am happy but not satisfied with the turnout of our people during the Continuous voters registration. Even though Anambra is the highest in South East the apathy is still visible because I doubt if that figure is a true representation of our voting strenght. But that is an issue for further investigation.

I still believe we have a lot of grassroot work to do to sensitize our people to make themselves available and seize every opportunity to grab what belongs to us from the Central government, even as we clamour for our ultimate emancipation and control of our regional resources.

Everthing is not a competition.

The federal Govt. Suspended flight from Enugu, in a clandestine move to discourage the budding international hub. Even, Enugu State Governor used the opportunity to acquire market lands near the airport using Peace Mass ceo as front. So am not here to play to anybody's gallery.

The bottom line is we must all return to patronize our airport for international flights to defeat the cladestine agenda. Strong international flight demand in Enugu, will benefit Anambra airport whenever it gets airlines. I am almost sure Ethiopia Airline will be the first to start flying from Aguleri, with the same air plane mopping up Enugu aswell.


As for now Soludo he is busy chasing Ipob, instead of these economic tasks waiting for him.

I have people who work in Anambra airport and up till this moment , there is no runway lightning, localizer beacon, VOR or glideslope .

The airport is categorised for VFR (Visual flight Rules) flights only owing to lack of these critical equipment listed.

It is at best a landing strip with a terminal hall.

Enugu airport is the only airport fully upgraded to handle international flights of limited specification.

Anambra airport remains a landing strip.

This comparison is not necessary, they are all in the east. Tell Soludo to market the Airport to airlines. For now Enugu has an active airline, which we are happy to use.

In future, Airlines will sweep both airports with the same aircrafts before heading off. So nothing to loose. They will also land in one and terminate in other.

Utter bunkum. The Umueri airport is for CKD Parts and occassional charter flight. No more, no less. Ebonyi does not need an airport at all. They should used the money to dualise Enugu - Abakiliki express road.

Those airports you mentioned are mere landing strips which do not even have runway lightning in place talk more of sophisticated landing aids.
No international airline can land on these runway strips even in an emergency owing to their insurance clauses that permit them to operate only in Category A airports.
So until they put the right ILS systems in place and improve on security and get an upgrade from NCAA and ICAOO , no single international airliner will land or operate from there.
Kano Airport on the other hand has all the infrastructure, but western airlines have been banned by their insurance from operating I'm and out of Kano over security threats from radical Islamist groups. So you won't find one single western Airline operating in and out of Kano but only middle eastern, Turkish airlines

The Anambra International Airport in Umueri, Anambra state and the upcoming Ebonyi International Airport have put a serious dent on customer traffic at the Enugu Airport hence the mgt of Ethiopian Airlines begging people to use Enugu.

Anyway, i will not attack Peter Obi. You have FAILED in your childish prank.

All i would tell you is that even Peter Obi could not dispute Obiano's rebuttal that the phantom money was not as stated.

Again at the twilight of his regime, everyone was aware that Peter Obi kept flagging off new roads, hired 10,000 new workers and a plethora of abandoned projects such as Agulu and Onitsha hotels, Awka, Nnewi and Onitsha malls to name a few. The fact that he does not mention the liabilities and how much it cost Obiano to complete them speaks volumes about his character.

Whether you like it or not, Peter Obi had very limited capacity to achieve big projects, and thus focused his effort on achieving only the millennium development goals , while Obiano had great dreams for Anambra state and huge personal capacity to lead people towards achieving great feats. Thus, he focused his attention on landmark projects to help Anambra become the great state that it is today.

While i wish Obi victory in 2023, it should not be done on the alter of forcefully claiming all Obiano's achievements as his own. We were all here when Obi refused to even acknowledge or use the Anambra International Airport! Even after Andy Uba and Ngige had done so and publicly praised Obiano for achieving the age long dream that they all played limited roles in helping to secure the land when they were governors. Till date , Obi has not publicly commended Obiano for achieving the dream of Anambra people to own an airport since 1982! Shamelessly claiming that the project he criticized an unnecessary waste of funds was indeed his brainchild just because Obiano ignored him and worked very hard to deliver the project!

Today, Soludo is working very hard to execute his vision for the state. While Peter Obi is busy junketting Nigeria for his personal ambitions. When Soludo succeeds, Peter Obi will go and meet the governor of Nassarawa state to claim Soludo's achievements as his own.
