Akungitit:Go and tell tinubu that because tinubu will soon be chase out of APC after which tinubu will return to his formal ACN party. |
As political discussions heat up ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is reportedly coming to terms with a political reality: money alone cannot secure loyalty or silence the aspirations of marginalized regions. Within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), tension is rising as prominent Igbo members from the Southeast intensify calls for the region to produce Nigeria’s next president. Many southeastern APC stakeholders argue that equity, justice, and national unity demand that an Igbo candidate be supported for the 2027 presidency—a seat the region has yet to hold since Nigeria’s return to democracy in 1999. Despite Tinubu’s strong political influence and reported attempts to consolidate power through patronage and strategic alliances, insiders within the APC say a growing number of party faithful from the Southeast are standing their ground. Their message is clear: “We are not for sale, and the Southeast deserves its turn.” “For too long, the Southeast has been politically sidelined. This is not just about tribe, but about fairness and the survival of our democracy,” said a senior APC member from Anambra State who requested anonymity. President Tinubu, who rose to power in 2023 with support from various zones, including a faction of southeastern elites, is now facing a critical leadership test. Balancing national cohesion with political ambition will be key to preserving party unity and the broader stability of the country. Political analysts note that the 2027 election cycle could become a defining moment for Nigeria’s democracy. “This is bigger than APC or Tinubu. The question is whether Nigeria is ready to fully embrace inclusiveness or whether ethnic politics will continue to dominate,” said Dr. Chidi Ugwu, a political analyst. Calls to “Say No to Tribalism” have become louder across the nation, especially among youth and civil society groups advocating for a more meritocratic and fair political system. The growing consensus is that no ethnic group should be perpetually excluded from Nigeria’s highest office, particularly one as culturally and economically vital as the Southeast. As Nigeria looks toward 2027, many believe that Tinubu’s response to this internal demand will be a litmus test for his legacy—not just as a politician, but as a statesman. The push for an Igbo presidency in 2027 is gaining ground, not out of tribal sentiment, but as a demand for justice and inclusion. President Tinubu and the APC leadership must now decide whether they will lead the nation toward unity—or deepen its divisions. #IgboPresidency2027 #SayNoToTribalism |
Tinubu have already taken 4years out of the 8 years of south east igbo presidency already and so tinubu should do the needful by choosing a igbo APC member from south east as his successor in the 2027 presidential election in Nigeria. Tinubu is a one term president. Tinubu and APC should do the needful and other political parties should also pick a south east member as their presidential candidate in 2027 presidential election: so all the political parties presidential candidates should come from south east Nigeria for the sake of justice and federal character and equity. |
Softmirror:That is not true but those that hate igbos are the ones crying as I have been exposing their tribalism towards igbos. I just want you to know that igbos are not the weak ones but you should judge for yourself after watching those videos between yorubas and Hausas/Fulanis |
Softmirror:Igbos are not the weak ones. Igbos don't reacts because we are angry but we react because it is the right time to do so. |
Softmirror:You are very funny. I will post two videos to show you how Hausa and Fulani have not been living in mutual understanding with yorubas in Lagos for so long now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6dheGokBkY&pp=ygUdSGF1c2EgZmlnaHQgeW9ydWJhcyBpbiBMYWdvcyA%3D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRvxqiFdCZ0&pp=ygUdSGF1c2EgZmlnaHQgeW9ydWJhcyBpbiBMYWdvcyA%3D |
The yorubas are afraid that if they tried to rename streets with Hausa name or Fulani names in Lagos that the Lagos state government will be impeached in the next 72hours and Hausas will stop feeding them. |
Asari dokubo is confused because no presidential candidates will ask him to support them because they know he is after the money he will get. The same asari dokubo once said tinubu betrayed him and he will never support tinubu again. The same asari dokubo said he supported tinubu because tinubu bribe him with 300 million naira bride. The same asari dokubo also said in 2027 presidential election, he will support northern candidate. Asari dokubo is exposing himself as a person who sells his support for money. https://punchng.com/tinubu-betrayed-me-after-i-helped-him-become-president-asari-dokubo/

Putindbutt:You are entitled to your opinion but you are the one using your alternate moniker on different thread. You think we don't know you with your several monikers. Validated, Putindbutt, etc.. unity beggars |
Godfullsam:"Your comment perfectly demonstrates the mindset that has kept Nigeria stagnant: rewriting history, masking systemic injustice as 'competition', and mocking legitimate grievances of an entire region as entitlement. Let me address your points clearly. No one is threatening Nigeria with war—but when people demand equity and inclusion in a so-called federation and are continually met with hostility or dismissal, you interpret it as war because you benefit from the injustice. The Igbos are not begging for presidency out of pity. We are demanding it as a matter of justice, fairness, and balance. Nigeria, if truly one nation, should reflect all its people in power—not just rotate it between a few regions while pretending it's meritocracy. Yes, Tinubu and Buhari fought for power, but they had strong regional structures, alliances, and the system’s blessing. You conveniently ignore the institutional sabotage, media bias, and calculated marginalization that Igbo candidates have always faced. If Nigeria is truly 'a jungle' where ‘everyone fights for everything,’ then don’t cry foul when others decide they’re done playing a rigged game. Separation and restructuring become valid options when inclusion is ridiculed. You speak of 'strategizing', yet ignore that every time the Southeast aligns politically, they are labeled enemies of the state. Is it strategy or systemic exclusion you're defending? So no, it's not about being 'given' anything on a platter of gold. It’s about confronting the hypocrisy of those who preach unity but practice exclusion, and who use jungle logic to justify oppression. You may find comfort in your tribal echo chamber, but know this: Nigeria cannot thrive on lies, injustice, and the arrogance of the loud." |

aribisala0:Who is this one making senseless comment and making noise on this thread. This thread is full of sensible content. |
GodPunishOsu:You yorubas like boasting as if you yorubas can fight any tribes in Nigeria and win. Yorubas can not win any tribes in Nigeria when fighting.

GodPunishOsu:Shut up your tribalism mouth and stop talking nonsense. If you refuse to stop your tribalistic bigotry attitude then you will explain tire. |
A growing faction within the All Progressives Congress (APC) is mobilizing to expel President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from the party and initiate impeachment proceedings against him before the 2027 general elections. This movement is driven by allegations of ethnic favoritism, governance failures, and a perceived disregard for party unity. Critics argue that President Tinubu's administration has disproportionately favored individuals from the Yoruba ethnic group in key governmental positions. Notably, appointments such as the Finance Minister, Central Bank Governor, and heads of major agencies like the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and the Nigerian Customs Service have been predominantly Yoruba. This has led to accusations of sidelining other ethnic groups and fostering a perception of a Yoruba-centric government . The administration's controversial economic reforms, including the removal of fuel subsidies and the floating of the naira, have resulted in widespread inflation and increased poverty levels across the country. Many APC members feel that these policies have disproportionately affected the masses, leading to growing discontent within the party . There are reports of internal divisions within the APC, with some members alleging that President Tinubu has undermined party structures and sidelined key stakeholders. For instance, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, a founding member of the APC, has expressed frustration over his exclusion from the cabinet and criticized the administration's handling of party affairs; as he shows his grievance by publicly supporting the new formed coalition ADC party. In response to these grievances, aggrieved APC members are reportedly strategizing to expel President Tinubu from the party and pursue impeachment proceedings. Additionally, opposition parties such as the People's Democratic Party (PDP) have accused the APC of attempting to establish a one-party state, further intensifying the political climate . The growing dissent within the APC reflects deep-seated concerns over ethnic favoritism, governance failures, and internal party dynamics. As the 2027 elections approach, the actions of these aggrieved members could significantly impact President Tinubu's political future and the APC's standing in Nigerian politics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxP25C3mMkM&pp=ygUeQVBDIG1lbWJlcnMgYW5ncnkgd2l0aCB0aW51YnUg Crisis in APC as Angry APC member speak against tinubu and SEYI Tinubu |
