A group of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s supporters has issued a strong public rebuke, saying it is wrong for the President to travel abroad without first giving direct orders for brothels, baby factories and houses of prostitution to be shut down nationwide.

The group, Amala And Ewedu Tinubu Patriotic Supporters _, said Nigerians voted for "renewed hope" and expect moral leadership to match economic reforms.

In a statement released Monday in Abuja, the group’s convener, Amb. Yola Bello, said the President’s foreign engagements are important, but domestic moral decay cannot be ignored.

"With all due respect to Mr. President, it is wrong to be flying out for summits and investments while brothels are operating openly in our streets, corrupting our children," the statement read.

"We elected Asiwaju because we believe he has the courage to take hard decisions. Give the order now. Shut them down in Lagos, Kano, Onitsha, Port Harcourt, Abuja — everywhere."

The group argued that insecurity, drug abuse and youth restiveness are directly linked to the unchecked spread of immoral establishments.

"Terrorism and hunger are urgent. So is the destruction of our values. A President can tackle all at once. That is what leadership is," Bello added.

Tinubu Supporters listed 3 immediate actions they want from the President before returning from his foreign trip:

1. Presidential Directive to IGP, DSS and State Governors to raid and close all brothels and baby factories within 30 days.
2. National Taskforce on Morality and Social Protection under the Office of the NSA.
3. Public Address to the nation on government’s position on "the dignity of the Nigerian child and Nigerian women."

"We are Tinubu supporters. We campaigned, we voted. But we will also hold him accountable. Nigeria’s image abroad starts with what happens at home," the group said.

Many on social media under #ShutItDownNow backed the call, saying "we didn’t vote for business as usual."

Others argued the federal government should work with state governments since policing brothels falls under state jurisdiction, but CTPS insisted: "When the President speaks, governors listen."

As of the time of filing this report, the Presidency has not responded to the demand.

The group said it will hold a peaceful press conference in Abuja next week if no action is taken.

Tinubu’s own supporters say economic diplomacy abroad must go hand in hand with moral cleanup at home. The ball, they say, is now in Aso Rock’s court.

A coalition of Igbo elders and socio-political leaders has issued a strong appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former VP Atiku Abubakar to "honor justice" and step down for Peter Obi in 2027, insisting that the South East deserves its turn to produce Nigeria’s next president.

The elders, said the continued exclusion of Ndigbo from the presidency since 1999 is fueling deep frustration and national instability.

In a communique released Sunday in Enugu, the elders argued that rotation between the 6 geo-political zones is the only path to national unity.

"Mr. President, Alhaji Atiku, for the sake of peace, equity and the future of this country, please step aside for Peter Obi. 2027 is the turn of the South East," the statement read.

"Ndigbo have waited, contributed, and bled for this country. Denying us again in 2027 will be a great injustice."

They praised Obi as "a detribalized Nigerian with capacity, character and competence" and said he represents the best chance for healing.

The elders went further, warning that if the South East is denied the presidency again, it could trigger serious national crisis.

"The first civil war was fought in the South East region. We do not pray for another one. But if people feel permanently excluded from power, anger grows," a senior elder said.

"We are praying that the next disagreement will not be pushed to the South West region or anywhere else. Nigeria cannot afford another war."

They stressed they are *not calling for war*, but warning leaders not to "push patriotic citizens to the wall."

As of press time, the Presidency, APC and PDP had not issued official responses.

Political analysts say the call adds to growing 2027 permutations around zoning, with Tinubu expected to seek re-election and Atiku also widely rumored to be considering another run.

Peter Obi’s NDC Party camp has not officially commented on the elders’ appeal.

The elders said they will begin nationwide consultations with other zones, traditional rulers, and youth groups to "sell the South East presidency project peacefully" ahead of 2027.

"We want Nigeria to remain one. But one Nigeria must be a fair Nigeria," the communique concluded.

Nigeria’s presidency has rotated between North and South since 1999, but no president of Igbo extraction has emerged from the South East zone. The 2027 general election is scheduled by INEC for January 2027.
