Submitted Online application - 4th December TLS/Interview - 8th December Application received by UKVI - 9th December Decision Made - 14th December Ready for Collection - 15th December

Please in my own case it expires in February, can I use it with the other school address on it.

in my own case, I did another test with the current school address to avoid any ish.

Pls is it meant to be 3months or 9 months or do you have an established presence in the UK already?

Just print a month statement, make sure the money has been there for 28 days OK!

thanks for your reply. I mean the mony has been in my account for 3 months and I know the statement should not exceed a month. my confusion is that I don't know the best time to print it out from my bank.

Hello house, please does anyone have an idea on any college or uni take HND for either a pre-masters course or PGD.

you can do a top up programme I.e topping up your HND to Bsc then go for your masters

Thanks a bunch for your replies, they have really been helpful.

I have been able to get the maintenance funds into my account today after some bank iss. so unfortunately i have to begin the 28 days count.

Kindly confirm which day would be okay to confirm my visa application and make payments.

Also i would have to use the priority service and i do not want to make a mistake, cos i read somewhere that i cannot apply for priority once i have submitted my application.

How do i go about this?

hmmmmm.....let's say you can confirm your application 20 - 21 of next month. I don't know much about priority.

1. So for the bank statement i would have to use either my account or parents account and wait for 28days before clicking "Confirm Application " .

Or is it after making IHS, Visa payments and booking an appointment?


2. Also can i show statement from a fixed deposit or do i have to move the funds to a current or savings account?

3. I have paid part of my school fees , so can i deduct the amount from the total amount that i have to show in the bank statement?

1 yes you have to wait for 28 days before clicking confirm

2. fixed account is not allowed.

3.yes you can. so what you would need is to show your school tuition balance + maintenance fee of about £11,400

About wrapping up my application. Just a few more questions. Just dont want any errors.

1. I set my arrival date as 2nd January. Hope this doesnt mean i can't travel b4 that date once i get my visa?

2. There is a part on the Tier 4 section where it says " please provide details on how you have been accessed as a sponsor"

3. My elder sister is sponsoring me, would it be right to use her bann statements or do i have to move funds. Plus she is based in the uk

from the little I learnt on this thread, the answers to your questions are:

1. it doesn't, you can travel within 1 month to the start of your course.

3. sorry, only parents are allowed. your sister will have to transfer the cash into your account and you have to wait another 28 days before submitting your application.

Which ever one wud lead u to the Visa application platform, tho i applied thru the UKBA website. For the IHS payment wen u apply finish its in dollars that u'd pay. My course is about 17months so I had to pay like $471 for IHS n $506 for Visa.

please enlighten me more on how to pay with dollar instead of pounds. coz I guess it's way cheaper

If its for January entry then u have to do another one, since the current TB test will expire in the next one month. And it wont be right to show an expired result per say, wen u r travelling. I stand to be corrected tho, buh if i were u i wud do another one.

hello justwise!
I have been following the group since. I need u to clear me on this.I have admission to study in University of Birmingham with a CAS no, but my sponsor is my mum younger brother, he is not bearing the same surname with me.
I am meant to summit my application on Monday next week, what do you advise I do since am having a sponsor with a different surname.
Also i have been writing to the school to get an extension letter from them since i might not make it to the resumption date which is 21st of this month.
Please advise me.

If you have receipts or proof where the 1.5M came from then it would be good to include them with a BRIEF explanation of such a large sum.
Just to keep them happy.

how can I show them evidence, or should I just explain to them that my mum deposited it into my account for the purpose of my education?

If you had more than the required amount before this deposit then you have no problem. In fact they would like to know that the account is active during that 28day period and that activity includes deposit and withdrawal of money. As long as the money never goes below the required amount during that 28day period then you are okay.

Funds need to be in an account with immediate access like a bank.

thanks for your reply.....but my account officer said a letter will be attached to the statement explaining that the fund will be available for withdrawal at anytime. why I'm asking is because my school resume middle of next months...... I'm so confused right now.

since GT bank allows a limited online spending of 1000 dollars. is it advisable to pay for my IHS fees let's say like today and then pay the visa application fees tomorrow?
