Popular hip-hop act, Olamide Adedeji, also known as Badoo has said that he dropped out of school but he was able to make it in life by discovering his talent and through dint of hard work.
He also identified discipline, commitment and being focused as catalysts for achievements in life.

Olamide said these on Friday when he went as a special guest of honour at the Summer camp organised by the Ogun State government at Akin Ogunpoola Model College, Akinale in Ewekoro Local Government Area of the state.

Three new suspects have been arrested in an alleged lair of kidnappers and ritual killers at the Obadeyi-Ijaiye end of the Lagos-Abeokuta highway.

Two of the suspects, a woman and a man, allegedly disguised as people with mental problems, but it was said that the latter confessed to being a member of a gang of kidnappings.
It had been reported that the den, an uncompleted building, was uncovered around 8am on Tuesday after a highway sweeper with the Lagos State Waste Management Agency alerted residents to the voice of a distressed woman in a drainage channel in the area.
Our correspondent reported that a crowd gathered around the two ends of the drains during which five persons came out through the channel.

Two of them were set ablaze by a mob, while three others were rescued by the police.

Clothes, slippers and bags believed to be effects of abductees, were found in the building.

But the state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, said it was too early to tag the building a kidnappers’ hideout, adding that “scientific investigations” would be carried out on the items.

49-year-old Akinola Olumide, has been arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for allegedly collecting an sum of N9m from some intending travellers under the pretext of procuring visas for them.

Olumide was arraigned before a magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Olayinka, on 14 counts bordering on theft.

The police prosecutor, Sergeant Donjor Perezi, said the defendant committed the offence between December 2015 and December 2016 at several places, including the Ijaiye, Alagbado, Idimu and Ipaja areas of Lagos State.

He said Olumide collected money from the victims, telling them he could procure visas to North Cyprus and Macedonia for them. He was alleged to have fled with the money.
Perezi said the offences were punishable under sections 409, 317, 288, 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011.

The charges read in part, “That you, Akinola Olumide, and others at large, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did fraudulently obtain the sum of N2,659,000 from one Adebayo Benjamin, under the false pretences of procuring a North Cyrus travelling visa, a representation you knew to be false.”

Olumide pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted bail in the sum of N1.5m, with two sureties each in like sum.

The case was adjourned till October 2, 2017.

Gunmen on Sunday stormed the St. Philips Catholic Church, Ozubulu in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra state, east of Nigeria.

A witness told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday that the gunmen went into the church during the 5:45 a.m. mass and identified a particular man and shot him.

He said that they later went on rampage and shot at the remaining over 100 worshippers.
Scores of people were killed in the church while other critically injured worshippers died on the way to the Nnamdi Azikiwe Teaching Hospital, Nnewi.

The motive of the attackers was not clear as at the time of this report.

The source, however, said the priest of the church was not wounded in the incident.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Garba Umar, confirmed the incident, adding that more details would be given immediately after investigations

Lagos State Government docked not fewer than 40 suspected homosexuals at two magistrates courts in the state.

The suspects made up of 28 adults and 12 minors were accused to have engaged in homosexuality which is contrary to the laws of the country, The minors were arraigned before Ebute-Metta Magistrate Court, while the adults were arraigned before Yaba Magistrate Court.

They were all arrested last Saturday by men of the Lagos State Police Command in Owode Onirin area of the State, The defendants were said to have been caught in the act of homosexuality at a popular hotel in the area simply known as Vintage Hotel.

According to the criminal charge, the defendants were said to have “On or about 29th July, 2017, at Vintage Hotel, No. 999 Ikorodu Road/Toyin Close, Weigh Bridge, Owode Onirin, Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did engage in gay activities by permitting male persons to have canal knowledge of themselves against the order of nature and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.”

The adults are Adedayo Kamadupe (27), Abiodun Pedro (22), Ikechukwu Onyebuchi (32), Dike Stanley (19), Oji Charles Isioma (28), Garuba Ibrahim (21), Monday Favour (20), Ayo Marcus Ayobamidele (26), Stanley Adeasbo (25), Victor Isaac (18), Godwin Williams (19), Kashimawo Oluwatosin (25), Abass Tajudeen (24), Olamigoke Adeola (19) and Yussuf Fawaz (190
