The Nigerian Army has promoted three Captains to the rank of Major in recognition of their exploits in the battle against Boko Haram insurgency in the North-East.

Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen.Olajide Laleye announced this in Abuja, on Friday, while briefing newsmen on the activities lined up for the 2014 Chief of Army Staff Annual Conference, which will hold in Uyo, Akwa Ibom next month.
The gallant officers, according to Laleye are Captains IA Manga, AH Ali and Y Micah.

how can your prove that it was on a fair and just basis that the officers were promoted and not just another attempt to arbitrarily favour the northern officers as against their southern counterparts.

We all know how nepotism, favouritism and tribalism have been prevalent in our military especially in times of recruitment, appointment and promotion. So it is not out of place to probe why no southerner was included.
