When my babe thinks of weekend during a hectic week, she is always eager to spend the whole 48 hours that is meant for rest and special time out with me. Uninterrupted. The euphoria of those special moments will never make her pray for the weekends to be over. I don't cheat and I don't womanise but one rival my babe has and hates is soccer. She always believe it obstructs our fun filled weekend. She hated soccer since the day I told her my favourite team is the only true relationship I've had for the past ten years and I'm totally submissive to. From the day I dropped that bombshell, my babe will never forgive that assertion or even the team that gives me that passion to love her more than my woman. Whether this is an infringement on my right or she is just doing what is right for her relationship, I don't understand. Because I can't remember when I deprived her of watching her so called 'epic holly or nollywoods', fashion stations or even spending a whole day out of the precious day we have to enjoy ourselves at the salon. She does this with the sole intention that its her right and part of weekend chores of a woman to do. Why are women like this? How I love gender equality! Recently, I noticed she wears a special mood anytime I have a league game. If I'm seeing the match at home, she wags almost everywhere in the room trying to distract me from settling with what is taking my love away from her. She wails at me on phone if she calls and realise I've gone to see a match and not caring about how she is feeling in my absence. She is so sardonic to an extent that she derives joy anytime my team loses and always wearing a moody look anytime we win. Chai!!! What else can I say about the discord between my girl and soccer. I'm sure she would have been wishing to jab that soccer of a chick if only she could see her. The way my girl is getting cantankerous about my love for soccer, I'm getting scared that my relationship is hanging in thin air. Who runs the world? |
