The Jos riot just got me depressed, a state of emergency should have been declared on friday in Jos and soldiers deployed, the governor should have been summoned to Abuja and replaced by an interim military administrator - just the OBJ style(eg in Ekiti) and these nonesense wouldnt have lingered to saturday or sunday, very pathetic.Who says Nigeria is really ready for Yaradua's or Pat Utomi's kind of Democracy? The civilised ones might be, but the animals amongst us still need to be tamed, they still need to be caged like those in Guatanamo Bay because thats the only message these Infidels , dogs, monkeys, snakes, cockroaches understand.

While OBJ was not good in certain areas, i certainly agree with the fact that he was better in emergency response.
Yar-Adua should have taken drastic measures to forestall further damage . . too bad . . . the damage is already multi-catastrophic.

At least with the mayhem already brewing, they shouldnt have allowed announcing the results and even attempting to install the winners. A candid and very personal opinion is that the military inclination of Obj makes him respond faster, than that man we have there now, he is extra slow at everything.

Is unthinkable,heartless,terrible and unfortunate that the governor planned swearing in the elected council chairmen but for the intervation of Mr president when families affected negatively by the incident are still mourning.What a pity and same that these are the kind of leaders we have in this country.
