Is your friend afraid she will be the dominant partner seeing as he does not have the kind of cash she has. He can't go into marriage with fear he should sort himself out, get to know her some more instead of trying to predict what she will be like in the marriage.

He needs to be sure the kind of man he wants to be in a marriage HOH/equal partners or whatever. What does he want from a wife? do they share the same values along these lines shall he think to make a solid lifetime decision and if he cannot cope he should tell his fiancee his fears so they can work and help each other grow. Perhaps he should talk to her about his fears and what he wants in the marriage.
