okay! so what up whose in the middle?

I believe that is Major-General David Ejoor . He was once governor of the Mid-Western Region. He was the governor of the Mid-Western State of Nigeria, during the Biafra Civil War. He then served as Chief of Army Staff from January 1971 to July 1975.

Ejoor is known to have escaped Biafran troops by riding his bicycle from Benin to Ebor-Orogun, and eventual appearing in Lagos. cheesy

And person taking all the pictures never knew the level of justice he or she has done to History.....The power of Pictures can not be underestimated, We’ve all heard the cliché, “a picture tells a thousand words”, Images help us learn, images grab attention, images explain tough concepts, and inspire.

The history of human social interchange has evolved through three distinct phases: oral, text-based, and now image-centered communication. In oral cultures, learning and tradition were passed on by word of mouth, primarily through storytelling. The invention of writing made it possible to preserve information and literary traditions beyond the capacity of memory, but the power of image has always been overwhelming, Creating Pathways to Literacy Through Arts.

More than what meets My eyes, i felt more in my mood becos am happy seeing this great gallant soldiers at the battle front, an illustration of what a government teacher would be spending hours to tell and by just a glance we know who is who in the pix.....we guys shouldn't see bitterness in all issues even when we are embittered with situation of things in the country, rather than. blaming these men for our whores, we should. forge ahead and dream for a great nation cos they have done there part, which history will always remember them for.

i pray for those compatriots that fought for the oneness we still have today, all those military photographers who risk there lives to take this pix that has been reserved for the future and those who kept this pics in their archive and were preserved for a day like this, i pray the good lord. preserve u too and may the gentle soul of those already gone continue to be in perfect peace as they sleep on.

To the OP of this thread, big ups to u brother..... I Love Nigeria no matter what!

We Appreciate Dr Good luck Jonathan but am sorry its time to go sir..

Not that I don't like the Buhari - Osinbajo ticket. If you ask me, its cool and close to Perfect for me, but truth must be told, in the year of our lord 2014, in a certain Most Populous black Nation, Religious sentiments and Biases are being tempered with Developmental Issues.
Gotdanm it mehn! That is the height of Backwardness.
Ordinarily I would have okayed a Buhari - Fashola Ticket, but politicians quickly play to the gallery quickly reminding us of our Religious Differences and hence Proven tested and trusted hands in Buhari - Fashola, Or Buhari - Tinubu were slaughtered on the alter of Religion.
Religion has Robbed us a lot, not once, not twice, not three times but every time.
Religion brings strife, religion bringd hate, muslims and christains are always at each others necks. OMG!
With the rate at which the world has modernised so much so my Great country still talks about Religion.
May be collectively as a Nation Religion has brought us thus far and that's why we still can't explain the Boko-Haram Phenomenon which is alien to us.
Maybe Religion has done us more harm than Good.
Maybe there's no true religion no where!
Ok, how do you explain it, there are so much churches in Nigeria More than u get in Isreal and so much Mosques more than Saudi, but yet, we're backward in time from the rest of the world like some 200 years.
Isn't it high time people started reducing emphasis on religious matters,
Its like what puts us apart are far more than what brings us together, Religion puts us Apart, Tribes puts us apart, ethnicity puts us apart,
Nigerias must decide weather to put these issues apart and remain as a Nation of Split into its various constituents and be great individually if the bonding isn't working.
After all said and done, more is said than done. People should get their Voters card and pls vote for Buhari Come Feb 2015.

#TeamGMB. Buhari sai ka yi.

Jokes apart!

Whatever your tribe, language, religion or political affliation, I believe we should respect these old men.

They really have come a long way and history will never forget them.

That's my two cent.

I can still allow every comment about GEJ to pass and not say one word but please in the name of God don't say GEJ is Intelligent.

Look up the word intelligent before using it for GEJ.

It is either you and all the people who liked your post don't no the meaning of the word intelligent or you are not intelligent people your selves.

infact i don laugh tire for this thread, primarily to responses to the allusion of GEJ as intelligent; and mentions of his "SO GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS"
Educated Middle class Nigeria is enlightened enough to distinguish between the two very disparate options and would OBVIOUSLY vote GMB over GEJ,..... I just wonder if the same applies to the uneducated lower class...which happens to make up a large portion of the electorate, and can be easily boughtover or misled

This picture is all parts wrong.

For one, this picture seems to have been taken during the Civil War.

Then, we need to realize that as then Olusegun Obasanjo was a Full Fledged Colonel while Muhammed Buhari was a NCO Captain. (That's senior by a very wide gap)

Olusegun Obasanjo was GOC 3MCDO while Buhari didn't head a Battalion.

For the GOC to bear arms while his soldiers are frolicking is all parts wrong.

Besides the man in the picture is wearing a hard-hat (kind of stuffs GOCs don't do...especially on base).

I think the man in the background is another Military Personnel not Olusegun Obasanjo.

I don't think that guy behind is Obasanjo. He looks like an ordinary private soldier or nco, and Obasanjo was the commander of a division ( 3rd army commando). That's a post you can't have even as a Colonel..

The GOC were all colonels then, seeing as there were very few Brigadier Generals in the Military then.

Which kind work you don do now wey u don tire? Pls oga GMB, buckle up and don't bungle at this election. For every one success GEJ administration points to, there are 5 more corresponding failures to be noticed. Which means more reasons to vote him out.

Simply put,
1995- We change our fluorescent tube to blue light when its time to sleep.

1999-Same applies

2003-Those who could afford started oppressing us with generator.

2007-This period was marked by several rationing techniques. 3 days ON, 1 day OFF; 1 day ON, 1day OFF etc. We didn't pay much

2011- There was hike in electricity tarrif, drop in output. Now I dont have to change my bright light bulbs to dim blue bulbs, our power holders does that for us, its easier to sleep in darkness than to change the bulbs.

2011- This corrupt woman called Deziani said queue at the gas stations are gone never to return with Jonathan. As we speak, the wind of long queue at our gas station is blowing round the nation.

The so called TANoids should point at 1 thing that is sustainably a good reason to vote for Jonathan. Ohhh I guess that will be corruption. At least if not much, I now know the difference between stealing and corruption.
